Fall is in the air, which means I can finally bust out my beautiful autumnal colors. I am OBSESSED with this deep orange with gold flake, it's just so pretty!!

We are having a /fantastic/ time at St Louis Ren Fest, but I'm /so excited/ to be able to spend more than 4 days at home!! The winter will be a lot of commission work, streaming, and learning to use our new cabbing machine to make our own beautiful stones!!

Genuinely some of the best musicians I've ever had the pleasure of listening to at a faire, and since they're right down the lane from us we get to hear them all weekend! You should go check them out

Aw thank you, haha. It really is like that. We've been going to Dallas for TFF for... gosh, more than six years now I think, so it really does break my heart, but MCFC is just so much closer, and with travel costs being what they are, well...

Good news, and bad news. First, the good: we got into MCFC! We will be returning to Detroit with all our fine treasures, and it will be our biggest showing yet 👀 However, MCFC shares dates with TFF. So we will not be going to Dallas next year. I wish we could do both, but there's only two of us 😭

Originally took this bc I wanted to see how my foundation was holding up in the humidity and heat. I am not usually one for photos or selfies so needless to say I was pleasantly surprised!

Thank you!! 💜 The umbrella was a happy accident, truthfully, but I'm over the moon with it. It's such a unique, eye-catching element that gives me a lot of flexibility with vertical display space. After this season we're going to take the cover off and pattern it to make a new one ourselves 👀

Pretty happy with this setup! Learning how to utilize the canopy to full effect finally, I think. I want the space to feel inviting and eclectic, making you want to linger and explore, and I think I'm finally getting close 🥰

I want to do a little thread later about the work we do for events. I personally make between 1-500 units of sponsor swag for 2-3 events a year, and I don't think a lot of people know that, bc most people aren't getting sponsor or super sponsor swag!

Alright now that they're in people's hands I can show off that I was once again given the incredible honor of designing sponsor swag for @tailsandtornadoes.org! When they told me the theme was a mashup of dinos and route 66 motifs this came to me like a vision, I sat down and carved it same day!

Retooling the displays this week. It's funny how much work and thought goes into things like this. Little decisions like how and where things are placed and how the customer is able to interact with them make a HUGE difference in how many things you sell, and you just have to do it live.

There's something so calming about bringing order to the chaos, I've found. It's a task that gets in the way of other tasks, which sucks, so when it's done it's like "ahhhh"

Since I've gotten into doing my own nails I've had a lot of friends ask if I can do theirs, and I'm one step closer to running my own speakeasy nail salon at cons now! This bad boy holds 128 polishes, plus my lamps, tools, foils and powders, all in a backpack!

I am foaming at the mouth over the lavender ones and I am also in desperate need of a new worktop & storage solutions for all my machines and tools so I'm just like... if only I had an extra $900...

She came back to the car 20 minutes later and told me all this, then said she wants to send him a birthday card. I agreed, of course. This job is evil in many ways, but sometimes we get the chance to be the kindness we want to see in the world. Be the kindness you want to see in the world 💜

He's very into Warhammer, paints them for friends and family. He's got a whole army of Necrons finished. Told her painting them keeps the depression away. Since he's nearly our age he has very little in common with the other residents, so he was grateful for a little company.

Wife delivered a doordash yesterday to a repeat customer. He's a lovely fellow who, due to a very rare kidney disease, has to live in a nursing home, and has his groceries delivered. When she got to his room he was painting Warhammer minis, so she opted to turn off the app and chat with him.
