Happy #kidlitartpostcard day! Squeaking in here with a page from a wip that will hopefully be out on submission soon. I’m having a blast trying out graphic novels for a change. #kidlitart #kidlitartist #kidlitpostcard #kidlitartpostcardday

A comic page with two panels. Top panel shows food bring dropped into water with a large eye watching. Bottom panel is a very large fish leaping out of the tank as two children watch in shock.

New Book Announcement! Coming Oct 13th from Reycraft Books. Illustrated by Pauline Gregory and written by me! I wrote the story in 2018, based on my ferocious niece and her love of dinosaurs.

I was the visiting author for the Young Authors celebration in the Shenandoah Valley. For 4 days, I gave presentations and talked to students, teachers, reading specialists and librarians about books, writing and art. It was an amazing, inspiring & uplifting experience. #schoolvisitsarethebest

Happy #kidlitartpostcard day! I’d love to illustrate other author’s traditionally published work. And I’d really love to have a mermaid book one day! rep’d by Jennifer Unter. #kidlitart #kidlitartist #mermaidart #kidlitpostcard

A pretty mermaid with light brown skin and green and gold scales sits on a rock holding out her hand for a bird who is flying up with a flower clutched in its claws.

I just wrapped up my first big holiday market and had a great time. The best part was connecting to people who loved my stuff, especially new art like my paper maché witches, painted ornaments and clay gnomes & mushrooms. It’s so cool to meet new people in person who love your work. 🩷

To say I’m very disappointed, incredibly angry, very depressed or extremely worried seems inadequate but I must go on. I’ll share my light and when I can’t, you can. When we can’t, they can. We’ll light these dark times together. #kidlitartpostcard #kidlitpostcard

Funny & character driven are my favorite things! How about the queen of Fishlandia & her daughter who prefers birds, a lion who hates rain or a fearless toad who wants to be a witch?

Three images, too left a Queen and her daughter in a disagreement, top right a grumpy lion trying to keep dry, bottom a happy toad waves to a grumpy and large owl.

It’s fall ya’ll! I’m trying to draw a lot of cute critters before I start on witches for October.

A beaver is wrapped in a scarf and is wearing a hat while she sits on a log enjoying her morning brew.

A young fox, wearing glasses, catches leaves while walking to school.
