“Yep! To wash off excess starch,“ Phoenix explained patiently. “It makes the rice fluffier and less mushy. Basically, just put it in a pot, fill that with water, move the rice around for a bit and then pour out the water. You do that a couple of times until the water doesn‘t look milky anymore.“
