HB 371 made Ohio require screening coverage. But copays still block access. What's next? The #FindItEarlyAct. The bill would mean no-cost coverage for mammograms, breast ultrasounds & MRIs for high-risk patients because no woman should hear "low risk" twice. #BreastCancer #CanSky #OncoSky

She had no time to lose. Michele Young walked the OH Statehouse w/carnations & told her story. She found partners in Rep Schmidt & Denson, UC Health doctors & The Health Collaborative, building nearly 40 testimonies for HB371. It passed in 2022. That’s the power of showing up.

Michele was told she was low risk. After years of normal mammograms, she was diagnosed with #stage4breastcancer. Dense tissue hid the tumor. Before HB 371, Ohio didn’t require coverage for supplemental screening. Four years later, her story shows why access to screening matters.

Big news: A personalized mRNA vaccine succeeded in a major Phase 3 melanoma trial. This matters because similar approaches are already showing promise in breast cancer, like triple-negative breast cancer. Now, we need to move faster. Fund the research. Expand trials. Get breakthroughs to patients.
