chart drafted by a friend about the difference between indie and AA, and AAA game developers

chart with three columns: Indie, AA, AAA and seven rows: Development budget, marketing, team size, publisher, graphics and technology, target audience, development time. Each cell has a funny but also pretty much true content

Garden obsessed, of course I made a mini map of my garden plan. The tag is from one of my favourite JJ YouTubers, Cindy @ Studioloo. I made a lovely chart to fill out b/c gardening where the last frost date is the May/ June can be complicated. My kids 😂 screaming “perfect!” #junkjournal #garden

Gosh, Hank Ketcham could make the most evocative backgrounds with the fewest, simplest lines and shapes.

A black and white Dennis the Menace comic shows Dennis sitting outside at night, holding a teddy bear and pointing a stick at the starry sky. His father, on the porch, shines a flashlight toward him, looking puzzled. Dennis says, “I’M JUST TRYIN’ TO FIGGER OUT WHERE TO GO WHEN I GET TO BE A ASTERNAUT.”

to me, “you should create for yourself” and “you deserve to be acknowledged for what you make” are two statements that should coexist. chasing engagement will rot your soul, while being neglected will see your passion wither. loving what you make is a failsafe for when the engagement never comes.

Actual pro tip: the best way to break into any creative profession is by helping to support and advance other creators. Your peers are not your adversaries. They are your support group.
