In the 2022 provincial election #Ontario recorded the lowest voter turnout in the province's history. Only 43.5 percent of eligible voters cast their vote. Ontario, we cannot repeat this. Yes, first past the post is a problem, and we need reform. But complacency will get us nowhere.

I've had a few DMOs and tourism boards tell me they don't want to work with me because they don't have eco-friendly options on offer, or they aren't pushing messaging around responsible travel. I think that too many of us in tourism overthink what "responsible tourism" really means.

Always have an emergency fund when you travel - whether it's a 2 week trip or full-time travel. Surprise events happen on your travels, and having a pot of money set aside for these moments will give you peace of mind.

Tips for today: 🛍️ Consider if you REALLY need something before buying. 🛍️ Be intentional about who you are purchasing from. Try to support local and small businesses. 🛍️ Purchase things that have longevity and are built to last (avoid fast fashion pls!!!). 🛍️ Shop second hand on Black Friday!
