I'm still drawing for myself first, hopefully getting better as I go, but I'd still like to build a community around my art one day. I don't want a massive following but I'd like to get close to the level of some artists I idolize. I've gotten this far already. What's stopping me getting further?

Comparison is the death of art, I know, but I'm doing something wrong here or something is wrong with me compared to other artists. Maybe it's my mindset, or the brushes, or technique, or something I've never even considered. Whatever it is I need to do or change, I don't actually know what "it" is.

Small rant but I need to get something out there. I keep hitting these same walls that I still have no clue how to get past. I don't even have a "style" I like that I can say looks good while others are able to post a pic in a completely new style while still doing more in less time compared to me.

Daedalus finished. As much as I want to say it's incomplete/scrapped, it kinda isn't. I'm not that happy with it but I did what I set out to do outside of colouring the BG. Back to easier pics next week

Small update. Between playing card games tonight and going on for longer than expected, the Daedalus pic still isn't ready. I'm posting this right as I got home and I'll be asleep within the hour I'll be focusing on it as much as I can tomorrow and I'll get it done before anything else

New WIP. This one probably won't be finished this week but I'm having a lot of fun sketching out this design. Fate has some great servants but Daedalus might be my new favourite in every regard. If I didn't have a Global account already I'd make a JP one just for them.

And the other Rodya. I saw a sketch ages ago that did partial colouring/shading similar to this so I tried something similar. Not really happy with either sketch brush in terms of colouring after so I might give up on colour sketches until I can find a good brush that doesn't hate the fill tool.

For the other Rodion pics I wanted to try a cleaner sketch over the OG. Thought it'd be a good way to "finish" a pic quickly if I wasn't feeling it. It's not as quick as I wanted it'd be and the colours ended up looking bad. Gonna modify the process for the last sketch a little, see if that helps.

New WIP. Next Limbus canto is out soon and I don't have any big ideas currently so I'm just gonna sketch a couple Rodyas and see what comes from that. Even after 3 years I have no idea how people do multiple of these in the same day but I've got a couple more I want to do.

That's Anya/Es finished. It was actually done yesterday but I wanted to change my upload times to the morning. Gives me time to make small tweaks and hopefully hit a bigger crowd of people. I don't know how to actually grow this account beyond "keep drawing and hope it gets popular." One day maybe

New WIP. Took a break over the weekend and wanted to draw the wives again. Sketch isn't done yet and I'm not sure if I'm doing more than that yet. The pose is tricky. If I do drop it I'll draw them in something simpler.

Hibiki/Carol done. I don't expect this to get much traction since it's a niche within another niche but I had fun, might even do more. Next pic I'm gonna be changing up shading a lil. Hopefully it'll look about the same but be much easier to actually shade. The way I do it now is far too tedious

That's Mai done. A day later than promised but Sunday had me at my cousin's birthday and it lasted a while. Something like that is more important than hitting hobby deadlines (not that I hit them anyway but still). The big changes are probably coming in the morning. They're close but not done yet.

That's Arabella finished. It was technically finished yesterday but I wanted some time figuring out the sunlight renders and stuff. Only thing I figured out is I don't know how to do all that. Gonna be big changes coming to the account soon. Should be around the time I finish my next pic.

That's Rain Mikamura finished. I don't want to say it often but I think this is my best pic yet. I tried a couple new things when it came to rendering her suit and I'm pretty happy with how it looks. I've still got a long way to go but I'm getting somewhere.

Anya/Es finished. I was trying to focus on shading but I ended up working on lines more. Pretty happy with that but I also don't think I've made much progress with shading still. Sometimes I wish I just knew how to get it looking the way I want.

Drawing the wives again since I wanna take some time to practice. I still feel a bit lost when it comes to shading anything that isn't skintone so I'm gonna be focusing on that. I'll take any guides that people find useful too.

Lil update on the Magik pic. I'm nearly done with the lines but her outfit really is harder to draw than I anticipated even with cutting corners. I'm probably not gonna finish it that soon, mostly because Avatar Legends is out tomorrow but it'll be done by this week guaranteed

Catherine done. Her new swimsuit in Lost stories isn't what I expected from her but I kinda love it. This is a semi-follow up to an older pic I did of her since it's been 5 months since then. Maybe I'll do another one in 4 more months. Kinda amazing how much my art has changed since then.

Jubilee done. I started trying softer lines again and soft shading for the hair too. The 2nd pic is my usual hair. A comment from my art friend about my lines being "boring" still sticks with me and I still don't know what he meant by that. Any advice or criticism there is appreciated.
