My original character, Potok. He's a water dragon, which may explain why he grew a fascination with ducks. Yes, perfectly logical... This totally wasn't a decision inspired by Hugh Newtron from Jimmy Newtron. No siree bob. There is a goose hidden amongst the ducks! OH NO!

Glad you like it! Wish it wasn't so blurry... It's a lil' slow moving right now. Most of the artists are doing their own thing right now, myself included. Personally, I'm trying to work on my art fundamentals right now to do better character animations.

This is the sole reason I don't use social media as much. So hard to create nuance! Okay, that tells me a lot more about these new characters! I like the dynamic of them being polar opposites. It immediately sets up some stakes for the story. I do hope they all get along, though! (or not)

I've noticed your art's become more refined since I first interacted with you. Poses are more dynamic, shading looks cleaner. Also, yeah, it can feel freeing to break the barriers of smaller pixel size limits. It's like, "I can do this and this now!"

It's good! There's this fair I go to every year that has an art hall. This is definitely something I'd see as cross stitched pattern. Also, all of these are very Gameboy Color-like. They'd make for an amusing portrait or card art.

A fan of Dialko's video and came across this game. Great first impressions. I'm just a huge fan of Terraria and seeing its formula in a 3D game like Minecraft is like the best of both worlds to me.

Wow! I'm really glad a lot of people liked the revamp of SML2's Overworld. If you didn't see it, I posted a reimagining of Mario Zone the week prior. I'm also planning on posting more smaller Mario animations I've saved for the upcoming weeks. Afterwards I'll have a personal announcement to make.

This is a curious design. I think it's cute to have a mobile flower pot, but what's the purpose? Does it plant flowers? Help bees pollinate? Is it just vanity? Perhaps it brings its owner materials? Also, I just like flower pots with legs. The flowers sticking out make it look like a tower, too.

Well, going off of what one interview asking the same question for Yoshi's Island, "very carefully, pixel by pixel." According to a Kotaku interview. Kind of a cop out. The 2020 gigaleak gave some insight that they made roughs of sprites and cleaned them up, but KD3? Yeah, I'm curious as well.

That's valid. Trying to be 100% authentic can be a lot of work. It's more than just looking at a piece of art, it's understanding the person who drew it, their values, and the limitations they were working with. And even then? You did a good job, Sam.

Poor word choice on my part. It just sounds like a lot of work, but it depends on how many actions the you need and how big a sprite is. I don't think I'd have enough free time to make it worth your while. I'd be spread out too thin. I'm trying to return to the indie scene with those 2 projects.

I can, but I'm working on 2 unpaid game projects right now. It'd be unwise for me to join another. I wouldn't have enough time to dedicate to a project like that. I'm looking to work on an original IP (Indie game) or a job that can support me financially. I'm doing a lot for free these days.
