In another timeline… Agnaktor is the “Firespit Snagret” and is a really annoying Pikmin boss. And the Burrowing Snagret is a low-tier Snake Wyvern that’s beloved by the MH community. But in my house they are best friends 💙❤️

It’s difficult to express how important they are to me, and unfortunately people roll their eyes when I try to explain it. The magic I experienced when I was 13, hunting these guys on the PSP- all those late nights playing with my step dad. There is no MH without them, for me.

A lot of the parts used in this model are brand new in LEGO’s catalog so they are currently a bit pricier on the aftermarket. Might be worth going to pick-a-brick for sourcing pieces this time. As always parts list and instructions are in the usual place.

I also have instructions for Baleful Gigginox!! These are technically upgrades of my older Gigginox models, improved nearly every aspect. The upgrade process is pretty good too! There’s a lot of pieces overlap from the old to the new!

Because the Gigginox model is so light weight, attaching it to string and hanging it from a thumbtack is enough to simulate climbing! Also, I’m moving again this week! So Gigginox was the last monster to be packed. “Where did all my friends go?”

Hot take, but I think Gigginox is just better Khezu. In all the ways that Khezu shows its age, I feel Gigginox was ahead of the times. Gigginox in a modern game would probably feel natural. Tri was still clunky. BTW, instructions for this guy just dropped at the usual spot 😎

Bishaten is my favorite base-Rise newcomer and was the first Rise monster I built back in early 2022 I have improved a lot with my build style and parts usage- though LEGO has also just produced a lot of nice new pieces since then.

Duramboros is a weird monster for me. It’s got a really creative design, unique attack animations, and a killer battle theme. But then in practice I usually find him quite boring to fight, and I feel bad- he gives gentle giant vibes. I don’t like hunting the cute monsters.
