The primary reason Lithopods spit rocks isn’t for self defense, it’s for reproduction. The female Cannon Beetle will lake their eggs inside the rocks. Not only does this protect the larvae, it’s also a valuable source of nutrients for when they hatch. This is very similar to real life dung beetles.

while pikmin adventure from nintendo land was technically my first pikmin game this game was my first from the series, and i love it dearly the music gives me a nostalgic feeling despite it being in my life for no more than maybe a year. in fact... im playing it right now :D

Unpopular motivation hack for drawing: Start drawing immediately, even if it feels impossible. After 15 minutes, your brain will recognize the difficult task and create dopamine to help you keep going. Agonizing endlessly before the drawing doesn't help your creative process.
