Whatever youre making today, I hope it goes well, or that if it doesn't you have fun anyways. Someone will love it, even if you dont right now. Love yourself instead, keep on!

Next time you make a picture and slightly fudge the arm, its an opportunity to add some new detail you didn't think of, to improvise, to jazz your way out of it like we all know you can. Even if its not good its worth sharing, so others who wish can learn too, and know success comes from failure.

Maybe I'll go back and through those piles of paper and share some of those "terrible awful no good drawings" just to do it. Everything I made before this went through hours and hours of revisions and changes just to chase the perfect idea in my head. But from my experience, it just creates hate.

All of this to is to say that youre never good enough, not to yourself, many smarter people before me have said the same. But to make is to learn, and to learn is to grow, and when you stop growing you aren't truly living.

All of this is probably a jumbled mess of loose thoughts and observations that I've strung together on my break time, it might make little sense and be all over the place, but it exists, and I know someone will read it and feel relieved to know that someone feels the same. It's imperfect, but real.

I've always told myself that I wanted to pursue teaching, later on when I was competent enough to do so, and isn't that ironic in itself. Even the masters are not masterful of everything, and so many who teach are less than qualified to be "the best", but they are there anyways despite it.

Now, I have grown so much, and really have become quite accomplished despite everything that I've fought tooth and nail against in my life and my many flaws, yet nonetheless I never had the strength to look anything else but exceptional when it comes to work. It's so undeniably strange.

I'm no master of my craft and I dont think I ever truly will be to the extent that I want to. Why did I start making art? Because I got hooked on a feeling, a connection that sitting around a table talking about a two inch image on a playing card could only provide. I too wanted to share stories.

All of it sits there, piles of papers I've felt too ashamed or unworthy of to ever share or give the light of day... I feel sorry for for them in a way. So many of these little "nothings" are probably quite good, so many assuredly bad, but doesn't that make them just as important anyways?

For a long time I lived in that little shack, alone and on top of a cliff unreachable by anyone else, and thus so was everything I worked on as well. I have always been drawing, constantly and persistently even over my last period of absence, studies and half finished pieces, doodles and sketches.
