Conversely, imo the environmental problems attributed to humans, especially the current mass extinction aren't solely caused by humans, but by a group of species centred on humans: dogs, cats, pigs, rats, pigeons etc. These species are thriving at the expense of the rest.

Most "terrorist" incidents at UK military bases are anti war protesters, but if the base was actively involved in shipping arms, parts, or launching planes there could be a value to Iran in disrupting activities. It's possible someone was reconnoitering the site either for terrorism or protests.
