I won't mention specifics for obvious reasons, but I snuck a little AI trap in one of my recent assignments and at last 3 students didn't even bother to read what AI spat out for them. Several more seemed to have caught on and swapped some details, but they very clearly ran the assignment through AI

We've had a relatively mild URI in my house this week: started w my son having a runny nose, developed a cough; daughter had runny nose for a day & then went away, mild cough later in the week; husb congested, coughing up phlegm, feeling like crap And then there's me, completely and perfectly fine

My son had a negative interaction with some older kids that was salvaged by one kind 3rd grader whose mom I wound up talking to (and who I thanked profusely for raising a kind kid who was willing to play basketball with a kindergartner who has no idea how to play)

A few years ago my son got his finger nibbled at a petting zoo and later that night I called the pediatrician after hours line to ask if rabies was a concern and she assured me it wasn't Now I feel vindicated (and low-key freaked out) (this was 2+ years ago, he's fine now right? 🫠)
