Last week was tough with the family all being sick (still somewhat sick) and an almost 9 month old going through so many stages at once. Got a busy next 2 weeks with work and I feel like I might break. Feel like gaming in my spare time is going to take a hit, was hoping to finish Fortunes weave..

My son’s hair fringe was getting in the way of his eyes so I gave it a little trim. He might look like this now 🤦🏻‍♂️

We’re all still sick in this household. Going to be another day of trying to relax and play Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave when my son has his naps. Recently finished Dietrich’s Part 1 and have now started Cai’s, you can tell the game wanted you to start with his story first.

Day three of the whole house having the flu 🤧 topped off with my son having his next set of teething happening during the night.

I was only 6 in 1998 but I’ve played quite a few of the games listed in this weeks pod, mainly because my dad owned them. Not sure how many I actually played in 1998 most were probably played in early 2000s.

Fire emblem fortunes weave question. I’ve finished Dietrich’s part 1 and returned to the obelisk. I want to do another Flame Lords part one, so I just select them or do I have to touch that other obelisk to bring Dietrich here first?

Well me, my fiancée and baby all have a flu and temperature, it’s going to be a long day.

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Both me and my fiancée are starting to feel rough, early flu like symptoms. Our son is teething and somewhat still going through a little sleep regression. I’m not ready for this 😭

Slowly chipping away at Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave. Fabio has some great dialog.

Today’s been a good day for eating. Pancakes with baked apples, scrambled eggs and bacon, homemade lasagna, fettuccine e insalata and to finish it off some watermelon with feta.

More praise for Onimusha, The Blood of Dawnwalker and Star Wars Zero Company. Three games that I can't wait to play but have no idea when i'll be able to get round to them.

Listening to the guys salivating over Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave is making me want to just go and play it. I’m ready for work to be done now.

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I’m so ready to dive back into Fortunes Weave after work! I also got some cool screenshots during this colosseum fight, not sure if they’re spoilers though.

Back to work after a week off. Could really do with another week.

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

How’s everyone getting on with Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave? I’m enjoying it but struggling to take it all in. There’s lots to do and I don’t think I’m fully getting all of the mechanics yet as well as being resourceful with the free time aspect.

260

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Starting my first path in Fortunes Weave with Dietrich. Not decided yet if I’ll complete each path one at a time or switch every now and again, I’m leaning more to the latter.

Briefly started my play through of Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave. Will hopefully make more of a dent into it tonight.

Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave acquired. Now to get home and not play it for 3 hours until my son is into his next nap.

Waiting in my car in the car park, pretty much empty. So someone pulls in and decides to park right next to me super close to my driver door.

It’s Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave day! Going to head out to in a couple of hours to pick up my copy from the shop. But first its time for my second coffee as my son decided to wake up at 4:30am and refused to go back sleep. 😒

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Recently I got a free working PS4. Not played a PlayStation since the PS2 days. Going to start collecting a backlog of PS4 exclusive games to play first. Started well with this £2 copy of Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition I picked up today.

Still making my way through A Plague Tale: Innocence on the Steam Deck. Really enjoying the story and the tear jerk moments. amazed at how well some bigger games look on the Steam Deck, punching above its weight.

One more day and then off for a week. 👌🏼

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Good chat as always. Cracking list of games on discussion, which I still need to play most of them besides Orbitals which Alex and I completed since this episodes released. Star Wars Zero Company & The Blood of Dawnwalker are high up on my backlog list.

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Listening to the latest episode of @pixelparents.bsky.social & it’s scary how many good games are coming out & ones that are already out that I need to play. I need more time to play all these cool games! Also why are they all huge games that at a minimum it’s 30 hours but you can easily sink 70.

When is the pre-orders live for The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Switch 2 physical. Need to get that ordered ASAP!

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Finished Orbitals last night with @alexsurvives.bsky.social Really enjoyed playing this, loved the art style and music. The second half of the game got more varied with the puzzles.

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Finally getting round to starting A Plague Tale series and starting with the first one. Should this finished before Fortunes Weave. The game runs and looks really good on the Steam Deck.

180

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Finished Citizen Sleeper. Really great text based RPG, interesting story paths and the dice element keeps each cycle interesting in how you manage your options that turn. My only real gripe is I wish there was a chat history with each character / story path to help remember what previous decisions.

Good first session of Orbitals with @alexsurvives.bsky.social Love the art style and music, it’s got a really cool vibe.

This sucks for the people who get a lot of use out of this. Specially the ones who don’t own an Xbox but use this to play exclusives / Game Pass. However I’m hoping this is a sign showing how expensive and crap all this cloud / AI nonsense is to companies & reaffirms physical media.

For anyone curious on the visuals of Switch 1 vs 2 version of Final Fantasy Resonance. This is handheld on the Switch 2 with the Handheld Mode Boost turned on. See image caption for what version is which, but you’ll see the Switch 1 version is slightly blurry.

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Downloading the Switch 1 version of Final Fantasy Resonance demo on my Switch 2. Curious to if there’s much of a downgrade over the Switch 2 version as I want to pick up the Switch 1 physical as it’s not a Game Key Card.

Pietro Marano @pietromarano.bsky.social · 03/09/2026
