Although I'm a Marlins fan who grew up in Miami, I'm old enough that I watched baseball before the Marlins existed. 😮 Braves were my team, mainly thanks to TBS. I watched almost every game that horrible mid-80s team played and damn if I don't love these throwbacks (even if they're not the same)!

The Matt Svanson hype as a potential closing sleeper is dead but moreover I think the Cardinals' bullpen is one I'm avoiding all season like I did with the Rangers last year. They just don't have a ninth-inning guy.

Kyle Harrison gives up a solo shot in the first but then strikes out the side. That revamped changeup looks legit - he caught the lower outside corner to whiff Williamson.

And just like that Ponce has killed himself on the baseball diamond trying to make a routine play. Can the Blue Jays ask for a refund?

Although I’ve always found it annoying that every team doesn’t play the first game at the same time any more, I appreciate that Marlins-Rockies didn’t deserve to be part of actual Opening Day.

A lot of “ifs” in this offense, especially with Holliday and Westburg hurt, but I’m taking fliers on O’Neill and Mayo late in drafts based on upside.

The ultimate risk/reward pick. I’ve been stuffing Wheeler toward the middle rounds in rankings but if early May is even a possibility, he may need to move up significantly.
