So Iconic!! Here's @piericksmith.bsky.social's version of it with a very fun Y2K crowd watching.

Artistic Pierick Smith's version of the Mr. Vince Carter's incredible between the legs dunk at the 2000 NBA Dunk Contest. A crowd of characters appears in the background. Everyone from Kobe and Shaq to JLO, N*Sync, Britney, Eminem, Jim Carey's The Grinch, and even another VC in the background dunking on someone from the Olympics that year!

There's a reason @piericksmith.bsky.social put him right in the center of his Wemby Solar Eclipse Dunk painting!

Artist Pierick Smith's large painting of NBA Rookie of the Year, Victor Wembanyama, making a nasty dunk in front of last year's solar eclipse and in front of an insane crowd looking on.

Let's see. For starters, I do these dunk contest paintings. Each one is a snapshot of popular culture during the year in which the dunk/dunker is taking place. Here is the 1988 piece. Who can you find in the crowd?

Bluesky neophyte: time to start the very quiet journey of growing in a new ecosystem. (Lots of posting to myself)
