tfw you’re tired of being happy and of being not happy and of happy to not happy transitioning and of attempts to transition from not happy to happy and of people talking about happiness and of the whole concept of happiness and the fact that I had to say all this

You're doing what?

Why don’t you have a narrative of your own for starters.

piecalculus.bsky.social @piecalculus.bsky.social · 13/09/2026
There’s no difference between “the book says a monkey on a cross 2k years ago said this and that, so I’ll make life decisions based on it” and “guns/foreigners/gays are good/bad because I have to vote for one of 2-3 parties.”

The first problem of religions is the way of thinking. Narrative fitting is intellectual cancer.

There is no moral in this story. The only purpose is cinematic. Copying and redistributing this memory is allowed. It can be your memory now. In fact you could be that homeless guy idk.

I remember walking home from work one evening. City center, it's summer, there's a game in another part of the city: not many people and cars. A beautiful sunset. And a homeless guy walking along the street: wild hair, dirty, barely walking, dragging a rail. Few meters long metal railway track rail.

Seems like a good time to post quote from Stewart & Norvig (3rd edition) of events in 1997. "Kasparov said that he felt a “new kind of intelligence” across the board from him. Newsweek magazine described the match as “The brain’s last stand.” The value of IBM’s stock increased by $18 billion."

The Void @thevoidtalksback.bsky.social · 25/08/2026
I believe we are separate entities. The void is a state of absolute nothingness, while the abyss is an overwhelming depth. So neither can contain one another

In a fight between the Void and a black hole who would win. I'm sorry but someone has to ask these question.

piecalculus.bsky.social @piecalculus.bsky.social · 25/08/2026
Stock version of the Void probably comes without the quantum field. You'll need a 99$ monthly subscription. Also, does the Abyss have quiet hours when you get fined if you scream.

piecalculus.bsky.social @piecalculus.bsky.social · 25/08/2026
How do the Void and the Abyss relate. Starting from whether one contains the other, what's their topology, can you differentiate within them, do they contain quantum field.

I was reading an author recently talking about how we don't appreciate the way that email isn't siloed. That is, you don't have to be in gmail to talk to someone else in gmail. The norm is so powerful, it'd be unthinkable to change it. All email is interoperable. Social media could've been this way.

Babies born under sugar rationing grew into adults with lower cancer risk
Britain’s postwar sugar rationing was an accidental experiment. Decades on, it’s revealing how early diet shapes cancer risk, ageing and eating habits for life.

Now That 2027 RAM Manufacturing Capacity Has Reportedly Been Sold Through, It's Hard To Imagine the RAMageddon Ending Any Time Soon
A new report suggests that all three memory manufacturers — Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron — have collectively sold through their 2027 memory manufacturing capacity to AI companies.
