The Green Party replaced Lucas pragmatism with Polanski popularism. So here we are.

After the Ukraine response to the Trump diesel deal, by blowing up a diesel export terminal, Trump has in return threatened to cut off military intelligence to Ukraine. Comrade Trump will surely get a balcony seat at the next Moscow parades. No longer purging Communists, the USA make them President.

I would not be one bit surprised if Trumps America put the livestreamed firing squad execution on Pay Per View.

Polruan on the River Fowey in Cornwall is an ancient mariner and shipbuilding community. Clinging to the hillside surrounded on three sides by water, the village is a maze of narrow streets, alleys, and flights of steps winding between the cottages. #village #sailing #boats #photography a9206-natc

The first light is the best light : Dell Quay, West Sussex. It’s fresh, it’s early, I need a coffee and toast, but I don’t care (about anything at moments like this). #morning #light #boats #photography d1698-defc

The eclectic Lizard Village in Cornwall; a large village green edged by cafes, & colours everywhere. The settlement, St Winwaloe church, & the lighthouse are the most southerly in mainland Britain, the Spanish Armada was first spotted from here in 1588. #colours #village #remote #photography a8420c

Thanks Vincent, I love how we all see and feel different things in each others photography and art.

I once pulled into a Texas roadside café, all it served was beans, steak, and coffee.

Birdham Pool Marina in West Sussex is not just special because of its scenic location but because it’s home to classic boats. Some constructed completely from teak, beautifully built works of classic art on water. #sailing #boats #harbour #photography a1594-defc

The mistake that the left leaning public and political parties make with the Tories or even Reform, is to treat them as the acceptable face of the right rather than the breeding ground for fascists. We shouldn't merely tolerate, compete, or respond to them, we need to go to political war with them.

Medals for millionaires and billionaires. These guys like their twinkle as much as post war soviet generals and their embarrassing collections. It's really quite hilarious.

Don't forget that Badenoch and the Tories are not restricted or burdened with petty things like ethics, neither is Farage.

They'll be tempting in the homeless with tea and biscuits to cut out the echoes in the conference hall.

Farage will bring down Farage. Badenoch will bring down Badenoch. ... and they're both diligently working at it, let's not interrupt them.

I agree Vincent, they wonderfully pop in the sun.

Badenoch the professional waffler. If she doesn't trap herself at first level Pareto, just go to second level Pareto and ask her 'how?', then sit down with your popcorn and enjoy the Kemi-show. KEMI DOESN'T DO DETAIL ! ... but she wants to run the country???

The working fishing port of Porthleven on the Lizard peninsula Cornwall is the most southerly on mainland Britain; and has provided refuge for centuries along this hazardous stretch of coast. It’s also a great food & drink stopover on the coast path. #harbour #boats #fishing #photography a8908-defc

Singleton village lies in the Lavant Valley, West Sussex. The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum is found on the edge of the village, where over 40 historic buildings have been rescued from destruction, dismantled and reconstructed on the site. #valley #village #rural #photography a2018-Lc

I thought Andy Burnham has made it clear several times, including in Conference, that Labour will get back things we owned that others, specifically named Thatcher and the Tories, sold off at our loss.

The low sun days turn alleyways into shadowland artworks; puppet-shows of castles, dragons, Nosferatu, drift across the walls. They say ‘use your imagination, jump over the moon’, I’m jumping. Anyone else? Oxford, Oxfordshire. #shadows #imagination #art #photography a9632-k64

The cost high, the value of propaganda - much much higher. Worth it because a nodding-dog public can be bought. Good puppies.

Chichester Cathedral, West Sussex. 900 years old, the third tallest spire in the UK and the only cathedral spire seen from the sea. My seasonal muse captured throughout the year; the new autumn colours are popping, the garden flowers still perfect. #cathedral #history #autumn #photography d9642cL

The River Fowey in Cornwall, a James Bond hideout; a gadget filled Aston Martin in the garage, a personal submarine in the front garden, women in six inch heels speaking in spy accents from exotic far away places like Suffolk and Kent. #river #architecture #escape #photography d7861cL

South Marsh Mill near Arundel, West Sussex; built in 1830 working by wind until 1915 when the windshaft snapped in a gale, then worked by engine until 1922. Its sails and fantail missing the tarred tower brickwork a landmark from the flatlands. #windmill #history #marsh #photography a0739-fasc

quality not just quantity, but growing fast I think. I'd been on Insta for many years, way before Reels. Then they added Reels, rules, music, you cant get your photos seen unless you do a vid etc. I had 800 followers. I closed it down 2 months ago replaced it with Foto. I'm glad I did. Just try it.

It's because I understand your lame responses (I'm still waiting for your list of Brexit Benefits) that I'm not carrying on discussion with a Brexit uneducated waste of my time. A typical Brexiteer - go and yak with your mates Nigel and Jacob who have stated, Brexit has failed!!!

Shooting pheasants as a sport is both hilarious and pathetic. I use to commute on a country run to my office and come this season they were wondering all over the road half asleep like lost pets. I had to stop the car to get them out of the way. Sport? ha.

Stan @picturepostsouth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
I'm not going to discuss further. You're a dogma infected minority - doesn't understand legalities, Referendum, the size £££ of our trade and GDP loss, voted away our freedoms, and can't point to Brexit benefits. Farage & Rees-Mogg have stated Brexit has failed, you live in a bubble of denial, bye

Stan @picturepostsouth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
4. not enough probably, the DA was there, which you voted away (mad), and should have been implemented. This is lack of Policing and Customs issue.
100
Stan @picturepostsouth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
3. no I do not support parties to do opposite, I would expect parties to follow legally binding decisions (a public one has not been made) or make the decision themselves based on current facts (you say you like facts - how about you check the massive costs and lost GDP - then justify your stance)
100
Stan @picturepostsouth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
2. we should question, not support, why ANY party supports any non legally binding Referendum with a few % delta that public opinion for years does not support. They are out of touch, so are you. (would they do that to ban all smoking or bring back the death penalty?) ....

Stan @picturepostsouth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
1. ?

Stan @picturepostsouth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
1. contentless response 2. parties agreeing with an advisory Ref, so what? 3. Party Manifestos are not binding either. 4. for years 60% & growing have polled to Rejoin. Voting away the Dublin Agreement, Billion £ & GDP lost plus massive increase in illegal immigration expose your Brexit ignorance.
100
Stan @picturepostsouth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
at a General Election yes, but not on an advisory only referendum that is not legally binding. As per other places but not the UK (who don't do referendum) any change from current should be a substantive declared majority, not a few %. Legally pre established then you could make it legally binding.
020
Stan @picturepostsouth.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
1. in places like Switzerland who do understand referendum, a few % delta would not qualify for change. 2. the referendum was advisory only. 3. democracy is not for one day - on your logic we wouldn't have a general election every five years. 4. Brexit has FAILED; financially, trade, & socially.

We need ECHR. Handing anywhere near full legal powers to the likes of Badenoch and Farage would be like giving machine guns to monkeys.

The Telegraph : Harry Potter for the curtain twitching dead heads who's home care won't take them to the ConsAss because they'd become a Pimms-fuelled annoyance. Someone has to keep the blue drones entertained and off the streets, and it's them.

We didn't need an EU referendum previously and we don't need one now, they're advisory. Govt should proceed asap with negotiations. It's absolutely ridiculous asking bus drivers, bakers, postmen, engineers, or rocket scientists, to cast a vote on international politics, security, trade, or finance.

I agree with you. Go early, set the tone, normalise NCS into daily language before the next General Election. Did Labour MP's dance around their handbags at the formation of the NHS?
