It was an interesting re-read. There's a lot in there, and there's probably some stuff that shouldn't be in there. I'd probably have shed a few hundred pages, got rid of the Other crap, and probably two main characters. But, hey, I'm not Stephen King by any stretch.

Reading the latest New Scientist bookazine on mental health and the article I just read is on happiness, and it seems (to my untrained eyes) to take a happy state as the default setting, and the "solutions" seem more focused on maintaining said state, which is not really that helpful...
