So my copy of Blood of the Dawnwalker arrived 😭

We found a Rapsody PS5 release that had games 2&3 on it. I was so confused by the back because it talked about being a love story and protags being kids from other games, etc. So I played no.1, "A musical adventure". Nope, it is shojo RPG to the bones but is from the "how do we market to boys" era

I feel like this weekend at fanfest helped with that final missing piece. I am excited to continue living my life as the true me and not the me I was made to be. Thank you warriors of light

My monthly reading for April. For my first month trying to get back into reading, it isn't too bad. I can't keep track of daily reading, so I've only been marking when completed.

For anyone intrested, The Amazing Digital Circus cinema tickets are out now. I think it will be pretty damn cool watching it all wrap up in a cinema full of people....also my son will freak if we don't go opening day and would. End to dance around potential spoilers

Distracted during work sticking postits together for sticker concepts. Now that the US fanfest is almost here, suddenly started getting really excited for the EU one

Aaaa I am really bad though /)_(\ Ultimate WIPs done when my healer DCed for a while while raiding and during work. You know its real when it is done on posits xD

I've been wracking my brain over stickers for fanfest because I can't draw and don't know who I would want to draw a com. Soooo I think I've settled on doing it myself. People say my pictures are cutely cursed so I'm gonna go for it. Inspiration is the Tales of wanted posters

Libary closed in 10 minutes so I ran round in panic (mine is sorted into crime, languages, history, biographies, everything else) trying to find anything. Spotted this spine on the shelf and went 'i reconise this book'. Going in blind and have no idea what to expect

Stickerbook upgraded! (With space for a few more because I wanted to keep Xmas themed page) The stamp rally ended up with me getting such a wide variety, I love it

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 11/02/2026

For birthday I bought a sticker book from @magicalmaidens.bsky.social for the stickers I got at Japan Expo and to collect at future events Wasn't expecting the bonus postcards to come with it. The best touch is that the Link Click duo are printed on Fujifilm photo paper rather than normal card stock

Reading Kagurabachi ch95 (deleted text and tried to pick not spoilery pages?)and it might be one of my fav chapters from a technical perspective Seeing the mangaka and assistants pick and choose what panels to dedicate their time to to hit the weekly deadline, but still give impact to important bits

010

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 02/02/2026

Critics think the movie is too long, and after answering someone's question on youtube I think I know why. Iron Lung, the movie based on a video game, actually feels like a video game.

011

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 02/02/2026

I saw Iron Lung yesterday and to a claustrophobic, horror wuss like me it was terrifying. It was an actually legit good horror movie and not too scary. With like every screening in my local sold out all week, I can see it running longer than expected for a niche, independent release.

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

Hoping I can get back to reading all of jump again. JjK, Akanebanashi, Sakamoto Days and Roboco I am like 150+ chapters behind with ;_; I started Someone Hertz because its a new, cute romance that has past the axed point. Also Kaurabachi even though it is long, I read 2 chs when it started

010

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

While I'm singing from the rooftops for manga, I pray for the day Parashoppers gets an anime. I have no idea how they will handle the art because how characters are drawn are an acquired taste, but it is so smart and witty. I can never guess its twists. I need to read The Law of Ueki at some point

011

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

Just like with Pppppp. I will cherish it as long as I can ;_; Thankfully (or not so) at least Hero Girl has an ending it can trigger when it gets its 3 week notice

000

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

I've only just got back into reading Shonen Jump after around a 3 year break. I completely forgot the anxiety of falling in love with series and desperately checking the rankings to see if it wouod get axed. Hero Girl and Demon Lord Call it Quits may not have the best art, but I absolutely enjoy it

I bought vol 1 to 9 of Tamon's b-side and read them all in less than 2 days. The pacing feels better by not padding between moments which really suits f/ace. Their 'true selves' come from nowhere and the manga format is better. Love book 9 the most though and being able to see these two together

So now I'm falling down the rabbit hole of looking up really old stuff that was on VHS and don't have anymore because of family. Oh my God is this the official start of my midlife crisis watching Disney circus videos I used to own?

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

Second was it was my first manga I ever read. It was one of like 4 graphic novels that came free in a volume of Manga Max when I was little. I ended up with Bubblegum Crisis Grand Mal. Looked up how much it is (£65) and after googling, discovered it is on the Internet archive

Story spoilers and reflections on A Space for the Unbound. Excuse my scrawl

001

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 02/01/2026

1st game completed in 2026 is A Space for the Unbound. Hard not to put normal pics in post because the game is gourgeous. The pixel animation throughout is breathtaking. A tale of carrying on through suffering, a game about being alive and moving on. Cried when I learnt 'where' the game took place

So, I've been watching Severance at last

000

Phya @phya.bsky.social · 05/12/2025

Finished watching Fellow Travellers and now I just have that gaping hole you have after you watch a masterpiece. Matt Bomer and Johnathan Bailey's acting was amazing, seeing them both portray the incredible highs and lows of both their characters throughout their lives

Here is the floor guide to demonstrate the size issue. The little blocks in the artist alley are one table big. Not wise table, booth size table. Gives an idea how much room was given for everywhere, including pathways. The was no gap past queues on the north side of the catering area.
