I cleared up the rock walls a bit too remove some visual noise. It also helps to highlight foreground objects more. (like the dead tree as an example)

Now that the game looks amazing, the next step is to add more ambient sound. I got some bird calls going on in the background and there are three different footstep sounds for grass, dirt and hard surfaces, but I wanna add some river sounds & twig snaps when you step on one. #rpgmaker #indiegame

With the art style switch I decided to reimagine a lot of the earlier maps I made for Forzen Darkness. The dungeons & key locations will be larger than they were before. There will be plenty small hidden areas as well, think hidden caves / basements. Before and after of an early map right here.
