The games industry, "GenAI is coming from our jobs." Meanwhile, this is what Claude thinks a mid century sofa looks like... you're good games folks.

Where things got really crazy is when I did the visual design. I opened Claude Design and gave it my css stylesheet and within half an hour I had a design system and a beautiful swift app from stock Apple GUI. My favorite screen it came up with was this. Love that.

If you want to see my talk about Crip Design for musical interfaces from NIME2026, it's living here: www.youtube.com/live/vKWWuKH...
The start slide from this talk, Crip Design for Collaborative Musical Interfaces. There is an illustration of 3 boxes with faces on them, the bots, in three 3 hands with encircled arms of 3 players. In the center is the game's name and logo, "Bot Party."

Today we dive into Public Data Cultures with coffee and cats.

What could ever go wrong with our decorator leaving this up overnight?

Tonight I got this little momma, the sister of the first cat I recused. Both these little girls were pregnant and as adorable as they come. She is at the Celia Hammond trust. The security guard caught her for me finally right before the building are demolished.

Today I rescued the sweetest cat who is under a year old living in a site to be demolished in a week. We couldn’t take her but she’s at Celia Hammond Trust in Lewisham if anyone wants a Calico with a personality that is pure love. Her name is, at present, Phoenix. I’m 💔 but our house it full up.

Resonate is one more step to being real! My installation game is still dev art but my system is really coming along. It is hilarious wearing 3 heart rate monitors at once but here we are. Development :D.

Got to a full low-fi working prototype today! 🎉 My new game uses haptics to cue the vagus nerve, plays sound, and connects 3 players via heart rate monitors to explore biosignal synchrony through sound, image, and vibration. It's cool to hear. If you're at the same rate, you trigger the same note.

Was aiming for MVP on my new art piece this week—didn't fully get there, but made solid progress: built a Swift app that connects to 3 Polar heart rate monitors, sends data to through Max, and drives my synth. Even got the ESP32 ready to talk to the app. ALMOST! Resonance is coming along!

When I code with chatGPT, I vibe. 🌈
😂 YASSSS ROTATE THE COSMIC WHEEL, WHITNEY QUEEN!! 🌀👑
Let’s get this thing spinning like it’s 1967 and you’re composing visuals to an analog synthesizer.

Here’s how we make that spiral rotate continuously:

I'm working on a game about group heart rates. I've been trying to amplify heartbeats, but all my attempts have been unstable. Today, I took a crack at a Swift app to do it with some old Polar heart rate monitors, and I'm shocked by how far I got in one day. Woo hoo!

Hey everyone! I'm asking for feedback for the book I'm writing: Machines We Imagine: Embodied Awareness in a Technologically Entangled World. I'm also launching a companion course, but if you reply yes, you'll get free access to both the course + the book in exchange. I'll DM for your email.
Black and white image saying: Machines We Imagine: Embodied Awareness in a Technologically Entangled World

How do we cultivate deeper awareness of our bodies, each other, and our social-ecological systems in an increasingly technological world? This book and its companion course explores the rich domain where embodied experience meets creative practice, drawing from social neuroscience, interoception, and ecological thinking to offer new pathways for artists and creators.

I'd be really thankful if you vote for my SXSW London talk Cripping the Controller: Reimagining Play and Access Through Inclusive Game Design. Talk ID 4221 in Gaming. sxswlondon.com/conference#4...
A flyer featuring 3 different alternative controllers. Left to right, one is an image of 4 circles that visualises data from community of four tea kettles. The second image shows a sketch and possible features for a tube controller. The third shows a stuffed cat sketch with possible interfaces ideas for the plushy. The cat has a speaker in their talk and a microphone in his ear as well as a light sensor in their noise. The fourth is an image of a tea kettle with 3 sensors attached to the side with red tape. The fifth is a physical prototype of the tube controller showing a microcontroller, IMU and a button on a breadboard. The final one is a plush stuffed cat with the features mentioned above sitting on a table.
