Huge turnout for the 36th annual Canalway Riversweep despite the weather. 33 sites cleaned by nearly 1k volunteers. My team removed nearly 60 bags of trash on W. 65th b/w Clark & Storer where we recently planted 50 trees. Of course, always fun to catch up with everyone at the Flat Iron afterparty.

Nice turnout for the Payne Ave Phase II project (E. 30-E. 55) last night. Nearly 25K more sqft tree lawn being created which will create planting space for upwards of 200+ trees plus continuation of the parking-protected bike lanes from Phase I.

It's happening! Tree lawns being constructed on the Payne Ave Phase I project (E. 13-E. 30). I advocate a great deal for greenspace so it's great to see it actually happen on a project. These will pair nicely with the City's first-ever parking projected bike lane when the project is complete.

Assessing capital repair needs for Treadway Trail in Old Brooklyn. This trail was built in 2007 as part of a land conservation project and is a critical link to the Towpath Trail. It's in need of some repairs which we hope to make in 2025 in partnership with Councilmember Rebecca Maurer.

Ribbon cutting for $1.4M of improvements to Impett Park in West Park Kamm's. A great example of a resident-planned initiative supported by the Councilmember and City admin (funding, design, implementation). Made possible due to federal ARPA funds (that government waste the new admin wants to cut).
