Alright, Bluesky kitchen aficionados. What is your favorite thing to do with these?
A bag of Food Lion Green Split Peas being held by a lighter-skinned hand. 100 calories per 1/4 cup dry. 0 g saturated fat. 30 mg of Sodium. less than 1 g of total sugars. A stamp that says "double your money back guarantee." Off to the side, there's some sort of talon and claw from some small, bird sized object.

Regina Spektor was introduced to me by my high school friend during our first summer back from college. I want to say we were in her tiny car driving somewhere and this album, Begin to Hope, was playing. In a sense, Regina was....on the radio. www.philthepill.online/after-me-com...

I don't know how these trending headlines are being written, but it might be AI and regardless, I don't think microblogging platforms should do this. You're injecting more editorializing and turning yourself into the arbiter of spin. Just say "Medicare and Medicaid" and "AI Data Centers."

2. AI data center backlash grows
3. Michigan Senate Democratic primary race

We all know Woodrow Wilson was a racist bastard, but the musical Suffs - available for free on YouTube thanks to PBS - will make you hate him for more reasons still. www.philthepill.online/recent-stuff...
Five women actors during a celebratory number from the musical Suffs. In the center, one is striking a pose with a finger in the air. Notably, another is enjoying a drink, leaning back, with her foot resting on a table.

The women are all white, which is a plot point in the musical. Other actors play notable black suffragists, including Ida B. Wells.

Inflation in the year 2011 meant that the Colombian patacon went up from two dollars to $2.50.
An old picture of a food stall sign board that reads "Colombian Cuisine." Menu:

Arroz Con Pollo - $5.00; Patacon [recently papered over, as if they changed this item and not the others]: $2.50; Empanads con Carne: $1.50; Empanadas con Pollo: $1.50; Empanadas con Guayaba: $1.00; Pastel Tres Leches: $3.50; Bebidas/Drinks: $1.00; Arepas con Queso: $2.00 [on second glance, it appears just the price has been papered over here too].

The uncomfortable truth is that our generation got a bit too much into hoarding and using our stuff as signifiers. It's not normal to have more than three dozen movies in your collection. Our parents paid $50 for a VHS tape, had like 12 of them, and we all had to make due.

Three things I learned from the Diane Warren documentary: 1. She wrote "The Rhythm of the Night," a banger 2. Her music publishing empire started with efforts to breach contract with a publisher who was exploiting her, which led her to self publishing her giant hits 3. She really loves ugly cats

Since my kid is watching The Berenstain Bears TV show, I'm doing a bit of a dive into the history of the franchise and dang if Stan and Jan Berenstain didn't look like "Mad Men" characters in their youth.
Black and white photo of a man and a woman. The man is standing and leaning on a table. He has dark hair with a prominent curl on his brow and an interesting patterned tie.
