I've had Data's An Ode to Spot poem taped on my fridge for decades. That piece of paper it's printed on is vintage these days.

Woke up at 4 AM to do some hiking. Did not disappoint, and I still have the afternoon!

In the 1960s, hurricanes were given women's names exclusively. Obviously, men started calling hurricanes sluts.

In my ongoing quest to visit every reservoir in my state, today I went to the West Hartford reservoir recreation area which contains miles trails around 6 reservoirs that provide water for the Hartford, CT metro area.

Some photos from in and around East Haddam, CT. The East Haddam swing bridge, Connecticut River at Eagle Landing State Park, Two Wrasslin Cats cafe, and the Goodspeed Opera House.
A gray metal bridge crosses a river. The East Haddam swing bridge was built in 1913 and it indeed swings to admit taller ships through. Water with trees in the distance underneath a blue sky dotted with clouds. The Connecticut river at Eagle Landing State Park in East Haddam, CTA blue house-like building with multiple roofs. Some side of the building are painted in pride flag colors. Above the front door there are two cats above a sign that reads Two Wrasslin' Cats. A tall white built next to a river. The Goodspeed Opera House, built in 1877. Still in use for theater productions.
