I'd support the Disney board firing him again if they could, for good measure.

"Give us a call." Or, as us millennials call it, "ew no thanks, I can do business with another company." Buh-bye.

I couldn't find this as a GIF online, so I created it as a GIFt to the world. The Simpsons’ Mr. Smithers injects himself with a syringe, then smiles and flails his arms. The macro text "I love boobies!" is superimposed.

So thank you, Vancouver Pride, every participant and every spectator. ...And thank you to every protester, because you just guaranteed we’ll have another pride with more noise, more investment, more sponsorship, and more donors next year. Thank you, protesters, for guaranteeing more queer events.

I am full of joy and gratitude for the queer community of Vancouver this past Pride weekend, and the brotherhood I’ve found since moving here last year. Pride is still relevant, it is still needed, and it is still very political.

Omg, I tapped on this thing once out of "wth that's a thing!?" curiosity, and now the website is like "DO YOU WANT A BUTTER APPLICATION MACHINE!?!?"

Striking this single, long-standing, burdensome project off my list feels so good. I don't often share work stuff on here, but this is a BIG and overdue win for my unit.

Working on a research paper for a journal necessitates what I call "writing fluid" to make the words come easier. Switching my brain from business writing to academic writing is a lot of work. #academicchatter #emchat

Was checking my bags and pockets for a missing card, and randomly this bag has two American 20s in it. I suspect my mother-in-law pixie-dusted me because I paid for something during our last visit. 🤣

Hello and good morning from FIFAcouver y'all. The dog managed to look into the camera for a split second.

Tonight's silly little outing was a wander around Commercial Drive & Broadway, then a wander up to Brentwood. Treated myself to the rare takeaway coffee. Thought I looked cute serving double denim faggot energyyyyyy.
The poster wearing headphones, a denim shirt over a white pride tank top holds an iced coffee while taking a selfie on an outdoor train platform. High-rise buildings, construction cranes, SkyTrain tracks, and a cloudy sky are visible in the background.

The AI assistant in the phone is listening at the creepiest of times. Standing in a queue with dozens of kids and families and it grabbed this.
An image of a text conversation between a user and an AI assistant. The user initially sends a series of nonsense words followed by a mention of having diarrhea. The AI responds with empathetic medical advice regarding hydration and bland foods. The user then clarifies that the message was sent by mistake.

Canadian Census methodology failure. From a strict reading of this question, because May 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 are in the future, and this question is in past tense, I can only report on May 3 & 4.

question 42. During the week of Sunday, May 3 to Saturday, May 9, 2026, how many hours did this person spend working for pay or in self-employment?

I know my city (Vancouver) likes to be polite and subtle, but I regularly think these signs are too polite and too subtle to clearly indicate traffic. They're a little too high and a little too vague.
Green circular signs, each about 30–40 cm in diameter, mounted side-by-side on a pole approximately 2–2.5 m above ground, showing pedestrian and bicycle symbols indicating a shared walking and cycling path.

Does anyone else find it wild that the Canada Revenue Agency openly asks you for your full SIN as an identity verifier? Not, like, the first or last 3 digits. The full thing. (And yes, I am really for real on the real CRA site.)

365 days since we became Vancouverites. A big move, but 100% worth it. We've found an amazing community, queer queers, and a great sense of belonging. Thanks to everyone who's made us feel at home. Cheers to the next 1, 5, 10+ years.

All good things must come to an end. "Dinosaur" an opening day attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom (and one of my favourites) zaps its final guests back in time today. Here's us, waving goodbye to our carnotaurus friend for the final time. As Dr. Marsh said, the future is truly in the past.

God help me… in a consultation meeting & someone who knows absolutely nothing about a subject goes off for 10 minutes confidently wrongsplaining a thing. She stops & says "hey, Phil, I'm right on this, right?" Then I have to be like, "🤨😦😧, well, thanks for that long, winding detour."

Called my bank up and asked twice for an annual fee waiver on a card I never use: Nope, simply not possible. Nope, nope, nope. We don't do that. Impossible. Nope. Said 𝘖𝘒, 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯, and suddenly all the fees could be waived.

I'm confident there is no god. But if there is, I'm sure they care more about volunteering, donating & helping causes to give more people better life & more rights; not showing up to church for 2 hrs/week, then going out & making life miserable for poor, immigrants, disabled or different people.

Over a decade ago, I had a colleague who would say "gross" (instead of "bless you") every time someone sneezed. I still say it to myself after me or my husband sneeze. 🤧 Said it quietly to myself today and overheard a coworker laugh at it.

Pro tip: Run your business like a certain leading online retailer. Expressly ask customers when their business is open to accept deliveries, then only attempt to deliver ridiculously outside of those parameters, over and over.
