Sometimes I just think about all the creativity and community that came about because of 18 episodes of a silly show about pirates and 🥰🥹😭

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Time to once again share my fic THE PHILADELPHIA CHICKEN MAN 💅🔥🦃 (I swear it's actually a Thanksgiving fic). 10k of heartfelt fluff, positive body image, and modern au #Gentlebeard falling in love. I promise it's not as stupid as it sounds. archiveofourown.org/works/54629962

A picture of a telephone pole with many staples in it. There is a flyer stapled to it with a picture of Edward Teach eating. It says:
COME WATCH ME EAT AN ENTIRE ROTISERIE CHICKEN
November 6ty will be the 40th consecutive day rhat I have eaten an entire rotisserie chicken
12 o'clock noon
The chicken will be consumed on that abandoned pier near Walmart
This is not a party

A screenshot of a summary from ao3. It reads:
The Philadelphia Chicken Man
lookinglass
Summary:
Ed had an idea. It was a little weird, and probably not the best idea for a very well-regarded artist who was at the whim of shareholders and a board, but. If he was going out, he might as well go out with a bang.

He straightened up the stack of flyers, grabbed one of his staple guns out of his workshop drawer, and set out down the street. He started in the immediate radius of the Walmart, tacking flyers up to light posts and bulletin boards.

COME WATCH ME EAT AN ENTIRE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN
3rd NOVEMBER WILL BE THE 40TH CONSECUTIVE
DAY THAT I HAVE EATEN AN ENTIRE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN

12 0’CLOCK NOON
THE CHICKEN WILL BE CONSUMED ON THAT ABANDONED PIER BY WALMART
THIS IS NOT A PARTY

Ahoy pirates! Since our screening in May will be happening over two days, we thought we'd host an #ofmd variety show on the night between days 1 and 2. We are in the early stages of planning and would like to get a sense of folks' interest. Let us know if you would be interested in participating!
