If you are referring to horseshoe theory, far-left is MARXISM (Marx) & far-right is FASCISM or AUTHORITARIANISM (Mussolini). Both of these men held widely differing views on econ & the role of the state.

I totally agree! This "work requirement" for Medicaid recipients is outrageous! We expect the most from people who have the least amount of resources. How are the poor supposed to work when they can't afford daycare? It's a myth in the US that we have such a thing as affordable daycare!

I respectfully disagree! We have had govt shutdowns in the past, and, yes, it's complicated and irritating to reopen the govt. But it MUST reopen. If we didn't, how would seniors get SSA benefits or veterans get theirs or pay our active service members???

In all fairness most Founding Fathers had slaves (that's not a justification; it's just fact). What I love about Mt Vernon (Geo Washington's home) is that it has been maintained exactly as it was in the 1700s). Lectures on slavery, how the average American lived, etc., are all part of the teaching.
