Disney+ announcing new AI content? Do they want to keep bleeding subscribers?

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

If I Had Legs I'd Kick You is touting one of the best female lead performances of the year and is almost no where to be found.

Okay, Final Fantasy 9. 1000 jumps on the jump rope. That's too much. That's insane.

Maybe the box office is so bad because ... people can't afford to fugging eat

My dating app algorithm suddenly thinks I would like someone who is allergic to cats and loves F1. It's a strange venn diagram of people.

Hoopla has become unusable. Right at midnight, everyone must borrow their max, because I never seem to be able to borrow anymore.

On dating apps, it's always the women that are "not political" or "conservative" that describe the guy they want to meet as a fantastical prince charming. 95% of the time. 99% of that 95%, the guy has to be over 6 feet. Not sure what this says, just an observation.

When NYT Spelling Bee has "phile" but then doesn't allow a bunch of the different "phile"s that work.

Last week's episode of Only Murders I would have given a 5.5 rating. It was missing the magic, especially the magic of NYC, at least until the last 5 minutes. Forced bits. This week was a solid 9. That magic of NYC was back again. The jokes popped. The hearts were big!

These scenes between John Huston and Jeff Bridges are amazing and completely whack

000

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 16/09/2025

Haha. What is this sex scene?!?! You know she's not going to make it

I sincerely don't understand why it suddenly became a Western.

At home, sick. Making my way through Criterion's 1970's thrillers picks. Never heard of "Winter Kills" but saw the cast. Wow. Not sure if I like it or not. But it's fucking wild.

I see you still haven't course corrected this blatant misreading of what Charlie Kirk not only stood for but actively created. I hope you're listening.

000

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

And Charlie Kirk applauded it when it happened. Stop treating him like he's a hero to the cause.

010

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

Kirk was part of the reason behind people not feeling safe. He cheered on the person who attacked Paul Pelosi. No, he should not have been assassinated, but to wear such rose-tinted-glasses to make it sound like he was doing things the right way is the wrong messaging.

051

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

Charlie Kirk made literal lists of people for his followers to harass and make feel unsafe. Stop pretending like he was the solution to all that ails us. He was part of the problem that has brought us to close to losing everything. And no, he shouldn't have been assassinated for it.

010

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

Have lost a great deal of respect for you. Kirk should not have been killed for speaking, but to say that he was somehow this bastion of civilized political discourse is false. He would put lists of names of people on his website for his followers to harass and threaten. That's not the "right way."

You can condemn the violence without normalizing white supremacy by putting him on a mantle of greatness.

010

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

"Conservative activist"? No. "Vocal white supremicist" No, he should not have been killed, but whitewashing who he was and what he stood for has further normalized those wretched ideas. Every news publication today failed us. @ezrakleinbot.bsky.social , tell me why?

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 02/09/2025

Spider-Man is a Summer movie. Superman is a Summer movie. Fantastic Four should have been a Holiday scheduled movie.

Peacemaker is killing me. That was great.

020

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 22/08/2025

I thought this version, the one we ended up with, was remarkable.

000

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 22/08/2025

Whatever craziness @jamesgunn.bsky.social held back from Superman, he's released the floodgates for Peacemaker season 2. Fucking wild. Haha

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 18/08/2025

I've gotten pretty used to being told "no" over the years, for a variety of reasons. Still sux. That just means I haven't completely closed myself off.

000

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 14/08/2025

All "moderate" leaning women on dating apps, are mostly MAGA lite "No woke nonsense" comments are usually mixed with a very privileged sense of entitlement. Anyone who says they're middle of the road in this climate has been gone for far longer

If professional theatre only needs a 10-15 minute intermission... then 99 seat theatre doesn't need a 20 minute intermission. Good grief.

000

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 09/08/2025

In a script I'm writing, I've been wanting to find a way to allow the characters to meet without meeting and I think I just figured it out!

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 09/08/2025

Pretty sure The Ryse curtain company was using AI for their ad rather than cast real actors. #fuckthem

I see just as many women going after Pedro Pascal as I see men. This isn't a gender thing. It's an idiots believing troll farm propaganda thing.

The next Dem/Progressive administration needs to take Fax News at their word, that they are an entertainment channel and not a new channel and bar them from all press conferences.

Trump thinks all applause is for him. His broken brain is wired to accept all lavishing of attention that's not directed at him because his dad never loved him.

@jamesgunn.bsky.social , Superman is going to mean more to me this year than any other movie. And it was perfect. One note. I don't remember seeing Pedro Pascal anywhere in the film. Like every movie this year, you could have found a spot for him. Sincerely, nicely done. Can't wait for more.

The final shot of L'Avventura is remarkable. The two leads, together. Looking out, but 3/4ths of the shot is a wall blocking their view. It could mean that there is no future or that their future will always have a block they have to overcome. It's heartbreaking and beautiful. And also... funny.

000

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 13/07/2025

La Notte and L'Avventura are two movies that have changed drastically as I've gained experience in life. I adore them. But also, Monica Vitti may be one of the most beautiful women ever put to screen... and I think Antonioni knew that

000

Phillip Kelly @phillipcreates.bsky.social · 12/07/2025

Monica Vitti was ... so beautiful
