40 years ago today OiNK went to the movies. A spoof E.T. photo story & Mary Lighthouse’s Top 10 Films You Shouldn’t See are highlights, but my fave is the legendary John Geering spoofing his own Whizzer & Chips work in Tom’s Toe! 😂 Lots of fun in the full review: oink.blog/2021/10/04/o... 🎬🦶🐽

This week in ‘89: Transformers & Action Force seemed to be at an all-time high, while The Real Ghostbusters was battling the truth in the checklists. This was Marvel UK’s line up, with Spock solemnly joining in for the craic. More details & the full series so far here: oink.blog/2026/09/30/t... 📚✅🐽

Jerry Paris’ stunning cover to no.1 of Marvel UK’s epic Transformers. What a beginning! Even before we’ve opened it! Jerry set a very high bar for others to rise to. Take a closer look at more photos of issue one in the first of a new OiNK Blog series here: oink.blog/2026/09/20/p... 🚚🤖🐽

Week 84 #DalekDay84 #DalekDay More silicon rings, each with a specific places to attach to. There’s the note in the magazine about their shapes too. Got a feeling this thing is going to look and feel solid despite the metal panels being so thin (and sharp). #doctorwho #Daleks #DrWho

This week in ‘89: Freebies in The Real Ghostbusters, my favourite Transformers story arc, a Slimer comic, Marvel UK’d Christmas annuals, and Thundercats despite many convinced it had been cancelled. Do you remember these? More details & the full checklist series here: oink.blog/2026/09/23/t... 📚✅🐽

Week 82 #DalekDay82 #DalekDay 8 silicon rings this week of various thickness & angles. If these surround the domes I’ve never noticed they weren’t all uniform before. Screwing them on closes the hairline gap between the metal panels producing a solid look to the skirt. #doctorwho #Daleks #DrWho

If a business, club, event etc uses AI to “create” a flyer that tells me everything I need to know about them. If they won’t support others, then I sure as hell won’t support them! (Oh, and the results look like s**t every single time.)

1/2: Week 81 #DalekDay81 #DalekDay Ok, the glove makes sense now, these metal panels are sharp! Initially it’s strange to see these panels are so thin, we’re used to thinking of them as big, think armoured plates! 😂 #doctorwho #Daleks #DrWho

Week 80 #DalekDay80 #DalekDay Dozens of screws & a glove! Not used, to be kept safe for future use. I’d the fiddly task of attaching 3 wires to the circuit in the middle of the base. Not easy, worried about breaking connectors. Anyway, they’re secured, tied & awaiting. #doctorwho #Daleks #DrWho
