La souveraineté n'a de sens que pour les citoyens, comme les jeunes, qui n'ont rien à perdre de tout ce qu'elle implique. C'est une distraction enfantine fondée sur des fantasmes flous et des résultats à long terme mal pensés.

Old news. Anyone who watched the debate knew all this already. And as if speaking coherently is a prerequisite for the job any more...

Well, I suppose it does take an intellect above the 5th grade level to discern the plans he clearly did describe, and in detail no less. Some of us are fortunate to possess one of those.

Those sorts of concerns would fall under provincial and municipal jurisdiction. Better to pursue advocacy there than to criticize the fed-gov for not doing what the law and our systems of governance don't permit it to do.

His point is that he's doing what's immediately possible at the fed-gov level. Any sort of developer-targeted bylaw forcing them to pass on fed rebates to customers would be the purview of municipal and provincial lawmakers, so take it up with them and stop blaming people for what they can't do.

Not sure there's much 'pushback to authoritarianism' going on when you're tuition and student body are 100% aligned with promoting oligarchy. Harvard's simply wealthy enough in its endowments that it's easier for it to tell Trump et al to fuck off. Nothing noble or courageous to see here, folks.

Determining interest rates requires vast amounts of insight into economics, finance and trade. And sitting on a board isn't the same as being a CEO, except in right wing rabbit holes under the stupid tree. Board's provide oversight in case CEOs (see: Elon Musk) aren't making sound decisions.

You'll see lots of people these days, especially of the older variation, looking at the world's oldest democracy and saying: "How did it come to this?" The answer is that there are now 3,028 billionaires in the world, with a collective net worth of $16.1 trillion. #democracy #socialism #morality

The end of the American Empire being casually included in today's Forbes.com newsletter: “What is potentially being compromised is the post-World War II order of international finance where the U.S. dollar has been the central pillar of the global economy,” said Bhanu Baweja, UBS chief strategist.

And yet Joe Rogan puts guests on who say "Vaccines aren't actually responsible for the reduction in infectious diseases.”
The image is a heatmap titled "Measles," showing measles cases across U.S. states from 1928 to 2003. States listed on the y-axis include Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. The x-axis spans years from 1928 to 2003. A vertical line marks the introduction of the measles vaccine around 1963. The color scale at the bottom ranges from blue (0 cases) to red (4,000+ cases), with shades of green, yellow, and orange indicating intermediate values (1,000, 2,000, 3,000 cases). Before 1963, many states show frequent high case numbers (yellow to red), while after 1963, cases drop significantly, with mostly blue indicating near-zero cases.

The Chinese government maintained it was a civilian/meteorological airship. That's clandestine. Also the very idea that U.S. advanced capabilities are unable to track and take down hovering or slow-moving aircraft of human design over their own military facilities is again utterly ridiculous.

Funny how the wealthiest in America plotted to overthrow FDR back in the 1930s and install a fascist government to roll back 'socialist' government programs. I've never heard that story before...

The spying interpretation is the utterly ridiculous result of tiny minds overwhelmed by cognitive dissonance. Espionage is first and foremost clandestine. Swarms of glowing orbs or drone-like craft presenting themselves over military installations is anything but clandestine.

Russia's economy is just a little over half the size of the Texas economy. It is not a 'world power' in anyone but Putin's mind, and is barely holding its positions against the much smaller Ukraine.

The U.S. is now a full-blown post-law oligarchy, with all checks and balances owned by the 0.01%. The great failure was in not recognizing that billionaires would be an inevitable outcome of unfettered markets, and that they'd own even the lawmakers before corrective taxation could be set out.

Kamala was the only person on the face of the planet who had the power to demand a hand count of ballots after one of the most anomalous 'victories' in the history of U.S. election data. But she didn't. So what she's also wearing the shit out of right now is everything that has come to pass since.
