I mean in any administration, or any state. I could see a stern letter being sent by a bar association but criminal prosecution for uttering the phrase "As a lawyer, I feel that..." seems overly dramatic.

Really? I know prosecutions have occurred for people *practicing* law without a license but for simply saying "As a lawyer...", I can't imagine anyone being prosecuted for that.
