Some of us prefer practical engineering for problem solving over applied robotics Doctor, you’re welcome to try you hand at life support systems if you feel like flexing on us alternative phenotypes however!

I hoped when making the designs and commissioning @entelodante.bsky.social for the illustrations I’d see more unique aquatic OCs but it’s been slow going, but to see even one other person come to similar conclusions is AAAA. Anyways my only critique is don’t forget gills are glow through! In>out!!
for every piece of gear you see here, I am overjoyed to announce the public release of my Landwalker modular respiratory system! A scalable, style-able aquatric survival and land gear system made for both my own world settings and to be free to use for anyone furry or writer or what have you to create more unique aquatics and break out of the furry doggish shark mold that much of the fandom sticks to! We've got main unit options for beasts of all sizes AND accessory styles that suit any and all styles of gilled and amphibious OCs!

The best part of all this is everything here is completely OPEN CONCEPT AND FREE TO USE for any setting, adopt, or OC that might need it! The only real limits on design for the wider community is to please keep the flow directions in mind as it was designed that way for the best cycling i could build out given that for most fish, gills breathing is one way!, and while not a HARD requirement i do hope for credit in some form if you choose to use it, either named on a ref, or leaving the PA logo on them somewhere! As far as ownership it's my usual CC-BY protections!

The first page details The main design language and the range of head units available for beasts of all sizes! From smaller anthro fish and amphibians to the largest Deepdrakes i have you covered!
On top of that the system is quite flexible in color and material, with an example pallet for quick reffing, as well as some accessories to further enhance the designm each model is meant for a different size and weight class of being for the different bio loads, even including some bioactive filter sponges to take a bit of their home biosphere with em! No longer must furries settle for the typical "furry" shark or be limited creatively on what aquatic species you want to turn into a sona, now you don't have to compromise on what makes an entire ocean full of critters unique! The second page goes into more detail on the different accessory types that i've made and the sorts of aquatics they're meant for! The main purpose of course is these are a sort of DLC for land fun for my Deepdrake Open Species, with gear examples for all three subspecies. But in addition i've included examples and base design references for Bony Fish with their operculum style config, a couple types of shark designs (if your shark doesn't have spiracles they can instead have a mask!) and some bell jar and sprayers for more hardy fish and your salamander and axolotl amphibians! Those parts being alterable for attaching to clothes, or more exotic gills coverings, etc!

Of the species showcased here the purple shark, Axolotl, Dunkleosteus , and middle Standard Deepdrake are all mine, as for the others i'll link them below!

My very close friends and constant sources of encouragement in my antics, I'm so thankful they lent their critters for my project!

Thanks for an amazing 3 years of Deepdrakes, every one of you!!! Artist for this piece is @entelodante.bsky.social
3 years ago today I was browsing FA and stumbled across the account of one jigglewiggle and something marvelous happened, I caught sight of a pair of Drake type dragon adopts, one spikey boy long gone and one almost leviathan flavored wet boy. An absolutely brainrotted purchase, some extra paid edits later, and a complete disaster of brainrot and spiraling feature creep culminated in the most I’ve spent on a character ref ever, an entire species guide and breakdown, a never ending well of lore and world building, and the most complex project I’ve written ever! I’m so extremely proud of what this fish and his species became, and still deeply honored others like them enough to want one of their own. And once again so MASSIVELY thankful to Jigs for the spark that lit the inferno and his endless patience for my insane rambling.

Jubilance is my fursona, he’s also my deepest core ideals, my love for xenofiction and worldbuilding, a podium for the sort of world I’d love to see ours become and want to be apart of, and a carrier for every hairbrained and silly schematic and furgonomics idea I’ve created. But all of that would be just dust and thoughts if I didn’t have the support and love of my friends, everyone who showed interest in him and his species, and the presence of such cool artists willing to take my ideas and breathe life into them that I never could.

Happy 3 years Deepdrakes, and I hope the currents guide you for many many more.

Artist is the ever awesome MVP known as @entelodante

Of course! Your work has always been a joy to see, just this most recent one had that special SAUCE. Anyways have a SOCKS!
An aquatic kobold or “Shoalbold” named Socks! They resemble a sockeye salmon in spawning season, a long beaky snout and striking red and green with a white underbelly make this fully aquatic lesser draconic a site to see whether delivering mail or swimming in the canals.Socks the Shoalbold take a break on a crate. They take a breath or two from their canteen before setting out for the rest of their route!

Here at Pheesh Adaptives our primary goal is to raise up those of us who need a little boost when living in a world catered towards air breathing bipedal tetrapods. Our most popular and established method being the landwaker system! Artists in order are Maoshan, Semga1100, Teafinch, and D1N0SYNTH
Fidget, can’t bare to look at the third Natural 1 in a row today.

A shark dragon looks down in exasperation at a 20 sided die that landed on a one, she is wearing adaptive land equipment that supplies fresh oxygenated water to her spiracles and then siphons said water out of her gills back into the central unit for reoxygenating!Tart and Spring discuss music taste while Fidget reaches across the table for another edge puzzle piece.

An anthropomorphic Osprey, a shark drake, and an anthropomorphic Dunkleosteus all sit at a table socializing, the table is covered in snacks and games the group has been partaking in. Both the shark drake and Dunkleosteus are equipped with landwalker equipment, the Dunkleosteus has to wear a full coverage mask due to her species unique skull shape, she is also in a specially designed wheelchair that her landwalker rig is attached to due to her merfolk Bodyplan. An anthropomorphic Axolotl is taking a stroll, she wears some form fitting non absorbent elastic clothing and a vinyl raincoat styled top lined with misters fed by her landwalker system, she also has bell jar shaped respirator cells covering the fronds that support the fully aquatic amphibians’ gills.Jubilance Pheesh, a standard Deepdrake, is enjoying a long conversation with a friend and colleague Hetuni!

A standard Deepdrake is laying on the floor while a much smaller Avali hen is resting atop his head, both appear to be engaged in conversation.

Other things that will eventually appear here are tidbits and lore and worldbuilding for the planet Flow, the world where the Deepdrakes and Cliffwing/Wavewing avians reside, mainly centered on the Capitol city of Haline! In addition my DMs are open for any and all questions related to my stuff!
