Her shirt was nothing fancy, just a tapered tube of stretchy T-shirt fabric with one seam down the back and raw holes cut in it for her arms. It seems this is the only picture I have of her wearing it; she's looking pretty grumpy here.

Oh no, Jane Yolen has died. 😢 I (naturally) have the complete set of her "Commander Toad" books. I always loved that she made Lt. Lily, the sole female member of the crew, the *engineer*.

New cat furniture. 😍 I hope this one lasts longer than the previous carpet-covered one.... the carpet was totally disintegrating and shedding tufts and plastic strings from the backing. I'm a little dubious about the wicker beds but so far the cats haven't had any interest in scratching them.

My project for the last couple weekends has been renovating my craft room (and cat hangout area). New work table and chairs, plus I painted (it's the same color as my office, Behr white mocha with a darker shade in the window bump-out).

....and the aftermath. Ilia's behavior was really classy here, taking the time to actually *talk* to Misha instead of just shaking hands and disappearing into the tunnel. And Urmanov must have been having flashbacks to his own Olympic victory, which nobody had expected.

I've never seen this sketch before, but it's the same tiling I used in a quilt I made 20+ years ago that was inspired by seeing maple leaves falling onto my lawn in fall.... just rotated by 45 degrees.

This is Lillabo, who is probably Brio's younger brother. They both came out of the same household with too many unneutered cats, anyway, and the vet at the rescue put Brio down as being a year older.
