Okay, so, actual Canons now! It seems to me that Priest Associate, as we've been talking about it, i.e. retired or otherwise employed, generally non-stipendiary attached to a parish, still falls under this Canon. But the Canon does feel remarkably flexible. Additional thoughts, Narthex? 🕯️
A Priest serving as an assistant in a Parish, by whatever title designated, shall be selected by the Rector, and when required by the Canons of the Diocese, subject to the approval of the Vestry, and shall serve under the authority and direction of the Rector. Before the selection of an assistant the name of the Priest proposed for selection shall be made known to the Bishop and a time, not exceeding sixty days, given for the Bishop to communicate with the Rector and Vestry on the proposed selection. Upon resignation by the Rector, death of the Rector, or in the event of the dissolution of a pastoral relationship between the Rector and the Vestry,
an assistant may continue in the service of the Parish if requested to do so by the Vestry under such conditions as the Bishop and Vestry shall determine. An assistant may continue to serve at the request of a new Rector. Assistants may have a letter of agreement with the Rector and the Vestry setting forth mutual responsibilities and containing a clearly articulated dissolution clause, subject to the Bishop’s approval.

I found this in a church that was closing. It's so well written and so well hoped. 🕯️
LORD JESUS
Eternal Priest you have called me to your priesthood to carry on the work which you began.

Fit me, I pray you, for this task with such faith that through my voice even the disbelieving may listen to your word.

With such hope that through my hands even the despairing may be held fast in your grip.

And with such charity that through my heart even the despised may know that you can never cease to love them: Join me so deeply to yourself that no one I meet shall lie beyond Your saving reach + Amen

It is in the latest Libro de Oración Común published in 2022. They retained "y con tu espíritu" in Spanish rite 1. Again, mixed feelings, but fully authorized.

My top cassock button fell off and went missing. But look what I found in my button box! It's the right size, so I rather think it WAS cassock button in it's last life.
Older scuffed button with a cross raised on it.

Pro-tip. A bulletin to notate a monotoned Lord's prayer that drops a third at the last syllable, abbreviate from near the beginning to near the end, because why write out a million of the same pitch. However, even if you don't want to dictate which version people use, this is not the way:
An image of a 2 line staff with the words underneath: Our Father ... evil.

I had forgotten this! My photo memories served this up today from 3 years ago when @gregory.havenreligious.org and I were trying to suss out what you would/could do if you did EVERYTHING. Obviously, there are a million versions, but this is our theory (3 years ago) of a maximalist daily office.
Colored index cards naming every office part we could think of.

Here's another snippet from a Sunday version... (SM = Sacred Ministers)
The opening of Eucharist with "Blessed be God: Father Son and Holy Spirit/and blessed by his kingdom now and forever. Amen" and the section heading "Collect for Purity" the rubric, in red, "The Celebrant says, center with SM flanking"

"Almighty God, unto whom all hearts are open..."

Coders of the Narthex! Some days it's the tiny things. In my "liturgical materials development with LaTeX and Gregorio" project, I have now modified my .gabc processing script to suppress custos programmatically when requested. #nerd 🕯️ P.S. Hoping that next trick is to add lilypond/musiXtex.
The Venite antiphon from 1982 S36 and its accompanying tone (tone 2.1). It reads "Harden not your hearts as your forebears did in the wilderness." And the custos are suppressed after "wilderness."

Maybe they've outlawed negativity?? The last one was acceptable?!
The same message as previous. Another rejected message "Thanks. That was a lot!" also not delivered because of acceptable use policy. The last one "Thank you. That was stressful" was apparently deliverable.

What on earth is unacceptable use about this text??
Message on Google voice. The message: "Thanks. That was a saga." Underneath, red text: Message not delivered. See Acceptable Use Policy.

What on EARTH is unacceptable about this text?

This is the closure to my habit I made after realizing that the habit was making some visibly queer people doubt... Not only did I not seem to be read as queer anymore, not I was being read as unsafe.
Slightly blurry selfie with progress rainbow flag "friendship bracelet" as the closure of the capelet on my habit, shown here just thrown over a black shirt. A wooden cross hangs from the closure.

Other duties as assigned. Y'all have NO idea how yellow some of these were! OxiClean is a Curate's friend! 🕯️
Multiple white robes, albs, cottas, surplices, cassock-albs... hanging and laundered, and my face looking mock-shocked.

Speaking of gifts, St Francis house is transitioning and gave us this altar, seen here newly polished and installed. In furniture miracles, the tabernacle we got from closed Christ Church Norwich fit the tabernacle nook exactly. ⚓🕯️
Altar with white frontal, tabernacle with don't art and 6 lit candles, although the 5th from the left doesn't look lit. It is, though.

🕯️⚓ y'all... Lol what my community gave me for Christmas/impending ordination present. Liturgical color three ring binders, hand decorated. The visible crosses were salvaged from the sacristy of a closed church.

There is a setting where you can change it. Its default is Anglicised edition. (Hard to get my autocorrect to allow that s!)

First, thank you for teaching me the name of that style! It's the style I've been working on. The outer collar is of my habit tunic and the inner is homemade. I still want to get the tunic collar stiffer, and then hopefully the inner collar will be more visible the whole way around.
