I just couldn't handle NPCs that looked like this anymore. #TTRPG #DnD phd20.com/blog/npc-not...
NPC text:

"A famed hero for his exploits in Aer. Rumor has it that he has ventured deep into Malandia on more than one occasion.

Occupation: Leader and owner of the Adventurer’s Guild in Cordyr’s Coast. He also trains adventurers for a price.
Physical Description: Long brown hair and a thick brown goatee cover a handsome face. A black eyepatch covers his right eye. He dresses in fine clothes over his armor and wears a trench coat over it all.
Attributes/Skills: Aticus is one of only a handful of people in Aer that know the swordfighting technique of Daeceloran. He can also manipulate magic by evoking energy with use of his blade.
Values/Motivations: Aticus values a life of adventure and helping those who need it. He is motivated by self-betterment and promises of great adventure.
Behavior: Aticus has the personality of Shawn Michaels. He is a faithful follower of Pelor and a very nice human (of Bardock descent).
Useful Knowledge: Aticus knows a good deal about Malandia although he will not let on to that. He is also knowledgable in creatures and monsters of Aer as well as swordfighting.
Mannerism: He will quote and mention Pelor quite often although not annoyingly.
Alignment: NG
Ally:
Background: Aticus was raised by a hard-working family and his father was in the Aerial Army so they moved around a lot. He wanted to be a great paladin of the Four, the deities he was raised to worship. His father found a trainer in the woods near their home who trained him in the art of Daeceloran during his teenage years. He joined an Adventuring Guild and
Object:
Quirks: Wears numerous gold necklaces.
Secret:
Voice:"

"The game is set in a high-fantasy, medieval fairy-tale world and focuses on folklore, sorcery, and heroic adventures rather than organized religion." What does this mean to you for a game like #DnD5E? #TTRPG #Worldbuilding Artwork credit: Lost Haven Art

Nothing better than good coffee and working on #TTRPG fun ☕️
A wooden board on a table holding a glass pour-over filled with coffee next to a white mug with coffee in it. Next to the table, a bag rests on a chair with a d20 and "Bag of Holding" on the logo. The background appears to be a coffee shop.

I ran the Nimble #TTRPG for some friends. Excellent support in FoundryVTT a slick character builder. We had a lot of fun and hope to get a few more sessions in before starting whatever our next long-term campaign is.

Another #DnD5E campaign comes to a close. 2.5 years and 48 sessions. One hero died in the finale but it was an epic finish. Long live the Legends of the Nentir Vale 🤘

I was really excited to run this #DnD boss (a shadar-kai witch) that I made with inpiration from Nimble, Forge of Foes, and ICRPG. The party decided to make a deal with her instead... #TTRPG

#DnD5E's Weapon Mastery is not for me. But I don't hear that sentiment often. What am I missing? What do you like about it?

The first notes of this month's Patheon Working Session are up on the forum for Architect patrons. I'll be adding to it as I build it out with the final artifact being shared to Patreon later this month. #DnD #Worldbuilding forum.phd20.com/t/campaign-w...
A screenshot of the start of a forum post on the PhD20 forum by PhD20:

"Welcome, Architects! I’ll be posting raw notes, decisions, and questions here as I build out a pantheon for my setting. I’ll add more as a I reach meaningful milestones and then a finished artifact will be shared over on Patreon later this month.

Step 1: Names and Domains
Domains
Stuff I had in my brainstorming note (Notes app on my phone) to start with:

Gods

- The runekeeper
- The Eye of Runes
- God of story, magic, and myth

- Sword, Sun, and Hero?"

When I first discovered Runehammer (then Drunkens and Dragons) I got really into crafting terrain. Still proud of my first set but quickly pivoted away from that aspect of the hobby. That’s a lot of work and storage. Massive respect to the crafters 😅 #DnD
