🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 25/07/2026So simple. Field tomatoes are available at the farm gate here so I’ll try both methods. Thank you for posting 000
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 25/06/2026Just be careful who you vote for. Read the party platform before voting. During the last election, the conservatives would have allowed a family doctor to refuse a referral to a specialist for an abortion on religious grounds. Just the beginning to a reversal of abortion rights, I thought. 440
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 25/06/2026Self induced abortions were common even in rural villages. My grandmother was a midwife around that time and had a few cases with similar outcomes. It’s so sad and unnecessary. 021
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Cancelled Amazon Prime since Trumps inauguration and haven’t bought a product yet. I live in a small town and source all within twenty miles. Many merchants contribute to our community’s festivals , fairs and sports teams. Support you local merchants instead. It improves your community. 000
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Your age doesn’t exempt you from learning and using credible sources to form decisions. 110
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 23/06/2026I’m going to Chicago as soon as the American voters kick the current imbecile and his entourage to the curb. Great jazz, food, and now the Obama centre. 011
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 23/05/2026If a charity is suspended due to non-compliance for a fiscal year, wouldn’t it mean that any tax receipts issued that year would be denied and the taxpayers re-assessed? 031
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 23/05/2026Charities are allowed to comment and lobby on legislation or policies provided that it relates to their charitable mission. They are forbidden from endorsing or opposing any political party. Advertising during elections has restrictions too. Are you aware of non-compliant charities? 100
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 06/05/2026And beef herds have decreased too. I’d guess it’s a land grab to exploit mineral rights or for data centres. Too little profits in farming for that greedy gang. 161
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 06/05/2026Try searching the author’s background. Often they are not journalists employed by the NP but rather publicists employed by unknown groups to write the articles. Post Media, owned 66% by American interests, has over 100 papers across Canada, including NP. 030
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 05/05/2026LCBO open during COVID because it was an essential service. Has anyone studied what increased consumption of alcohol did or didn’t do to family’s mental and financial health? 053
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 05/05/2026And worker poverty is not a big issue? Workers are seeking a livable wage and asking for safe working environments . They are protesting outside the Gala. 100
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 05/05/2026I have not used Amazon since Trump’s return. It takes a little longer to source locally. I have met great people who contribute to my community’s activities and charities with their gifts of time and money. Support local small business. 030
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 05/05/2026Two rights for any worker: a liveable wage and a pension. Without a liveable wage workers need to use food banks. Without a pension plan to supplement CPP workers will be part of senior poverty. Time for policies to reflect the real cost of labour. 010
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 04/05/2026The number of poor seniors will continue for future generations unless all workers have adequate pension plans. The cost of labour in goods and services must reflect retirement pensions as is the case when buying a new car. OAS is welfare and not a substitute for an indexed pension. 010
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 04/05/2026The lack of discussion here amazes me OAS, a social welfare program , needs reform. i know of seniors donating their OAS to locals charities. Do you have data to show the impact on charity giving should OAS stop for families with plus $100,000 of income? 100
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 18/02/2026Consider: What percentage of police officers in Canada are bad? Less than 1% How many drones will each police department have? One given the cost. How many officers will be trained and authorized to use them? Likely limited to ER team. My guess is that the chances of malicious use is near zero. 110
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 18/02/2026Highly unlikely given that a drone operator needs to be licensed and subject to regulations. So, it’s not going to be every officer with a drone. tc.canada.ca/en/aviation/...tc.canada.caWhere to fly your droneWhere and where not to fly a drone in Canada 100
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 16/02/2026We must be vigilant and elect those who will continue to support free elections and are free from US and Russian influence. I suspect the motives of members of parliament who meet with those country’s leaders or representatives and are without official trading or diplomatic positions. 000
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 16/02/2026Same here. Don’t understand why peanut butter and other nut butters need sugar and emulsifiers. Might as well eat a mouthful of molasses instead. 260
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 16/02/2026All medical recommendations advise to avoid processed foods especially those with chemicals and artificial sweeteners which is why some foods taste so sweet. 220
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 12/02/2026The money would be best spent for a fund to teach the children how to process the trauma and to provide ongoing support for the rest of their lives. Even if the building was torn down, the empty lot will trigger memories. Flashbacks are a given. How to process for living fearlessly is learned. 110
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 11/02/2026I’m going to wait for the RCMP to release their report and/or an inquest to release their recommendations before I comment. Already speculation and false narratives abound. Let’s butt out and let the families and community grieve. Instead think about donating to their local charities. 121
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 11/02/2026Agree. We need to butt out until the inquest recommends solutions to prevent this. The families and community need time to grieve without having to read false narratives. Let’s be vigilant and report. This is a tragedy not click-bait. 110
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 10/02/2026leger360.com/in-the-news-...leger360.comAlberta Politics: UCP Support Rising, While Health Care and Separatism Drive Political DebateLeger's latest poll on Alberta politics shows support for the United Conservative Party is rising, despite strong opposition to separatism. 001
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 10/02/2026The real story here is that it’s a small vocal minority wanting separation. Oh! But that would be so boring and not good for clicks. Fear and divide sells better. 010
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 08/02/2026It’s time to ignore what the orange man says and stop spreading his postings for likes, comments, hits. This is his mode of operation and it will only diminish when the world ignores his hateful and vile messages. 070
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 07/02/2026What %of Albertans are separatists? From an article I read recently it’s a very small minority. Yes or No? 110
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 05/02/2026I paid $8 for a small pop and a very small box of smarties at a movie theatre 000
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 01/02/2026I like European films or films from film festivals. Either their catalogue is small or they are not prioritizing. Joined one month ago and most likely will cancel in March. 010
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 01/02/2026Check out the NYT headline. I posted this as a guest article, hope it can be read by all. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/31/w...nytimes.comCanada’s Conservatives Give Their Trump-Inspired Leader a Second Chance 000
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 01/02/2026Concept of community. Strong women nurturing and healing each other and their families. It’s the small acts of kindness that count. It’s being humble enough to ask for support. 000
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 01/02/2026It’s about consistency and short and frequent daily training in all environments for 18 months. I had a dog curious and energetic . My neighbours doubted that she could be trained. From age two to ten, she was a therapy visiting dog. Gone 20 years, memories of her antics makes me smile daily. 030
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 31/01/2026Let’s call it what it is: child abuse by the Trump administration. 0283

🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 28/01/2026Good one. I worked for a labour union in Northern Quebec and heard the most colourful swear words. There were some saints that I didn’t know existed. 120
🇨🇦 @phcoco.bsky.social · 28/01/2026Available in many towns across North America. I could be out every night. What social media and online platforms have done is remove community. People think that posting is community and has impact. Social media used to gather for change and community has impact. Individual comments have no impact. 000
