It has been five years since the Less Is More (LIM) Act was signed into law, and it remains one of my proudest legislative accomplishments to have brought more humanity into our supervision system.

Today, due to Trump’s cruel healthcare cuts and Governor Hochul’s refusal to fund social services, about half a million New Yorkers will lose their Essential Plan coverage. See our statement below ⬇️

This year, Gov. Hochul is gutting the CLCPA before it even takes effect. I won't stand for climate rollbacks on a burning planet. That's why I fought for $100m in public renewables & why we must pass the SUNNY Act to allow renters & homeowners to generate renewable energy.

New York is for all of us. As we begin to discuss immigration reforms in this year's budget, I am advocating for the protections of New York for All to be codified into law. My immigrant neighbors are living in fear and uncertainty - it's up to us to fight back.

I am disappointed in the extension of EO 56 by Gov. Kathy Hochul & NYP hospital leaders need to come to the table immediately to bargain in good faith. The real healthcare disaster is hospital CEOs putting profits over patients, not nurses taking protected labor action.

Sometimes the only way to move forward is not to move at all. At just 15 years old, Claudette Colvin was arrested for sitting on a bus. Let her memory shine as evidence that one can never be too young to pick up the mantle of justice. Rest in Power Claudette.

2/ call the legislature into special session so that we can take the action we should’ve taken before we went home. If she won’t, the least she can do come here and explain to this boy’s mother why she won’t fight for families like theirs.
