Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I was rewatching cutscenes for theorycrafting reasons, and I love this reaction when Alisaie demands to come along on the next adventure. #FF14 010
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I'll probably go back and pick up earlier trades of this run. I *love* this from Bruce. #DetectiveComics 100
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Don't tell Nightwing Twitter, but I'm going into a Tom Taylor comic with positive expectations. #DetectiveComics 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 30/09/2026So Paulina just... didn't go back to stop Mogul? I get it, he's going to be one of the villains for Soule's Venom, but come on. #UltimateImpact 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Now we can say goodbye to Hostess Fruit Pie. #UltimateImpact 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 30/09/2026We've cut to Cap, so the scene gets to have three or more pages, but at least Vin gets to make a proper first impression to other heroes. I get that the book needs to push the new characters, but this is genuinely a nice way to give approval through Steve and Tony. #UltimateImpact 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Vin is zooming so he can be relevant to the plot. #UltimateImpact 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 28/09/2026So if the Mother of Horrors is supposed to be the "source" of all mutations, including the X-gene because of reasons, does that also means she's also responsible for Spider-Man's powers? 000
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I've seen seeing people take this as Hickman saying he didn't enjoy writing Ultimate Spider-Man. Maybe it's that, but it sounds more like the new leadership at Marvel is giving him more assurance that he won't get a repeat of what happened under Cebulski and Buckley. 120
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 25/09/2026This is exactly what I wanted for these two. Buccar is the dad who stepped up! #FortunesWeave 000
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I don't know if this is a "starter" outfit and she'll add the red and moon later, but I'm kind of glad that Sightseer's design in the final issue makes her look less like a whitewashed Ms. Marvel. 100
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Watch out, Spider-Man, there's an ugly bitch haunting your narrative behind you! 120
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Okay, Venom is allowed one more murder, as a treat. Mogul is an asshole. 000
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Takeru used Phoenix Gearblade in a flashback duel before he got the Salamangreats, and now we got a Salamangreat Gearblade. Feels like him coming full circle. 010
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 03/09/2026This story is doing a good job of selling me on how Jason ends up as the adult of the team. #TeenTitans 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Heh, I remember people comparing Proxy and Wildcard to Naruto and Yuji, so it's funny that Jason referenced the former. #TeenTitans 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 25/08/2026I fear I am not going to be normal once Fortune's Weave comes out. 000
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Queuing into the final Endwalker trial as a Machinist: #FF14 020
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 20/08/2026I know I can't stay in my bubble with Absolute Flash, but I appreciate how they reference other books. 220
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 20/08/2026We needed this page to show everybody to remind us of everyone this story keeps jumping around with. #UltimateImpact 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Oh thank God, she *finally* stumbled into the plot. #UltimateImpact 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Please give Vin more than one page at a time. I want to give him a chance, but this is so little. #UltimateImpact 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Wow, Paulina got three consecutive pages this time. That feels like a record. #UltimateImpact 110
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 10/08/2026G'raha and Ashe are pretty different characters, but I love them both because they're inspired by tales of heroism and aspire to be like in real life. At least they don't get all Don Quixote about it. 100
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 10/08/2026My expectation for Goodbye Lara is that if it doesn't fully commit to the yuri, there's always the Aquamarine option. 130
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Completely disconnected array of characters I've been feeling as inspiration for Evercold. #FF14 100
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 09/08/2026There's plenty to say about the optics of Disney's handling of the Wonder Man show, but it's wild that Ultimate Impact: Reborn is introducing Vin Lerner for synergy with that, except now the show is canceled. Whoops. I imagine all the origin box characters will get swept under the rug right away. 340
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Dang, maybe I should have tried doing this quest during Pride Month, because this is amazing. #FF14 030
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 05/08/2026This story may hurt the most, but I feel this. That's love to me. #MJSpoilers 120
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 05/08/2026They've been through a lot, but this means something to me. #MJSpoilers 140
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I'm sure it must be very shocking that I got the cover with my favorite redhead as an elf. #MJSpoilers 280
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I'm enjoying Wally and Linda's dynamic. #AbsoluteFlash 130
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 05/08/2026Thawne is reminding me of Ultimate Green Goblin with how much of a hulking brute he is. I feel silly for forgetting to the Absolute Universe, God is Darkseid. #AbsoluteFlash 120
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 05/08/2026The initial comparison to this book and OG Ultimate Spider-Man mostly goes as far as having a teenage hero, but given that this line is also the premise of Midnight Spider-Man, I still want to compare this to that eventually. #AbsoluteFlash 120
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I wonder if the Still Point is called that because of both Flashpoint and the Still Force, but I guess we'll see. #AbsoluteFlash 120
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 05/08/2026Kraven is a monster who still deserves some comeuppance. However, I enjoy him beating Doc Ock's sorry ass. Oh, I'm sorry that *you* don't get to impersonate Spider-Man while running around and calling yourself "superior". #WhatIfSpiderMan 120
Patrick @phantomroxas.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I would trust Kafka and Robbie with my life, so I understand this. #WhatIfSpiderMan 120
![AIPT: X-Fans Eustache La Pistache and Nobin say you’ve mentioned readers can expect “long-form payoffs.” At this point, how many story arcs do you have planned for Midnight X-Men?
Jonathan: I could tell you pretty specifically what the first six arcs are. So that’s 36 issues, I guess. But the reality is that on something of this scale, things tend to slide back a bit as the story expands when you’re writing it.
I’ve also spoken to both Steve [Wacker] and Brad [Winderbaum] to make sure I’m not wasting my time, and I’ve been assured that I’m not, so I’m not going anywhere. I’m finally working on a book again that’s both exciting AND structurally appropriate for what I like to do and what I’m best at. Feels good, honestly.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:25i6cpod7srfq65ve4avgyzk/bafkreigsa6pi4uwkwndo4wnk3ybmap4crnmptbwwlfo67pw7wrukofmgca)
