Well, here's what I have been up to in 2025.... #geoguessr

Me in 2025. The goal is to get good enough to play a short solo in one of the new pieces we are working on with one of my bands right now.

It‘s been a while since I did in- depth analogue sound design. It is still fun.

Something cool happend today at work: I always use silly still images from obscure Science Fiction movies as MS Teams backgrounds for virtual meetings. On a whim I wanted my background to be holiday-themed for the next weeks, so I changed it to a still from "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians". (1/4)

A still from the movie "Santa Clause conquers the Martians", showing a roboe, Santa Clause, two green aliens and a few other characters from the movie.

The Phaneronaut bunny has hidden two easter eggs in the latest album “The Song of the Machine“. The first person to find both of them before I post a “behind the scenes” blog on phaneronaut.com in a few weeks will be shipped a free copy of the Nekropolis ’22 CD “Live ’23” (world-wide).

The cover for the Phaneronaut album "The Song of the Machine" with two illustrations of easter eggs overlayed.

Hey, I have a new music album out. It features some guests. All the pieces were written for these guests or based on their work. Stylistically, we're square in prog land, with some excursions to sleazy 70s Jazzrock and modern electronica. Download for free or stream: distrokid.com/hyperfollow/...

Cover of the Phaneronaut album "Tape Concerto". It shows part of a cassette tape and with the title written over it.
