awesome quote, also reminds me of another quote with a similar message "Coincidences happen in real life because there is no god" said by Andrew Cunningham things in a story have a purpose, things arent just thrown in and given connections for no reason

Indeed he is, and all the lakes being named after or by the native groups who lived in the area is really cool aswell

Phage @phageios.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

I got the joke, i just wanted to share lake trivia, since most people assume the lake is named after the state

000

Phage @phageios.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

The state is named after the lake. And was named by the Ojibwe people, superior is the only great lake not named by or after the native population (though many use it's Ojibwe given name "Gichigami")

The funniest part of this is my job would be made significantly easier without ai I wouldn't have people submitting cards that take a half hour for me to fix because they're the wrong aspect ratio, or not understanding what a safe area or printer margin is and shoving all their text onto the edges

Was doing a quick touch up for someone, i forget what program they used but they saved it as a psd, and when i opened it in csp, a mysterious and inexplicable layer of green at 50% opacity had appeared, just out of nowhere, i still got screenshot actually

Now to bring up old designs i prefer: I like chipp's xrd look more And i miss XX Pot, though his new design is still sick i just wish we got to see some skin and face on him again

Phage @phageios.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

Within the realms of this topic: I-no is hotter in strive, like yeah sure maybe she's showing less skin, but the outfit is hotter man why do people care so much about her design change.

getting to interact with you is the sole reason i regularly play xrd, if i didnt play with you and other people in your community then i would have no one my level to play with and wouldnt touch the game. infact, the little community you built is wonderful to be apart of, you bring people together

art's one of those things where its very iterative, and besides some like anatomy questions or very general advice, alot of the learning process is just doing something in one way that cant be explained, tbh most creative fields are a bunch of little things that can only be learnt through experience

010

Phage @phageios.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

art really is just throwing shit at a wall until it sticks, recently i had a bit of an artstyle evolution and if you asked what caused it all i could really say is "idk"
