My friend Lucas Hicks with his band Jill Brazil at the 3B Tavern, 2001. Eight years ago today Lucas lost his 14-year battle with osteosarcoma. A multi-talented musician, his on-stage energy was utterly incredible. This is how I’ll always remember him, rarin’ and tearin’ and screaming with joy.
