Yeah, a lot of my pots are somewhat intentionally useless or user-hostile in some way, or at least something that tries to evoke a slight feeling of uneasiness in the viewer.

Working on making fangèd #pottery. Some room tomimprove- the handle attachment isn't great and some of the white glaze didn't quite stick to the teeth, so I think they may be just raw glass fired porcelain. Might stain if you put coffee in there.

Got some stuff back from the glaze kiln. The first three are a new shape I have been experimenting with. These guys are all speckled buff clay with oribe glaze, into which I poured a dash of pink glaze. The tin in the pink made for a really glossy dark green accent. #pottery

I like making items that push against the edge of that shared context. It's still a vase if it has a hole in it? The hole is kind of in conversation with the rest of the case, hopefully evoking a sense of unease as expectations are undercut or people reminded of something else.

Here's some #pottery I've made recently. We are doing a studio show, so I had to pick five pieces that fit my theme. I guess I can only attach four to one toot, so here are four. I'm excited by the idea of shared context. You know what a lot of a vase should look like.

Some new #pottery. The mug is my new tea mug at work. The vase was a collab with C, who painted the leaf around the top. I did the green oxide spatter. I'm getting better at throwing porcelain.
