"I'm just getting started..." While my body is ready for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (and I brought V1 of my Unified cosplay to Comic Con Africa this year), I'm more excited for Catalyst. Give me veteran adventurer late 30s-early 40s Lara Croft. #tombraider

It's 12 September. Christmas chocolates and advent calendars are on the shelves.

Reading like a social post in 2026 but actually from Newstime, the faux magazine that DC Comics released in, wait for it, May 1993 (and which is part of the Death of Superman trade paperback)

And best of all, I don't have to deal with any painful discourse about the length of Sophia's hair!

Just a few chapters in, but Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy may be my GOTY. Can't believe I'm having a jaw-droppingly beautiful Tomb Raider-esque action adventure with my fave game character from 2022. Bonus points for spanning both Medieval and Ancient Greek periods + throwing in queer inference

The older I get, the more I realise there are two types of people: those who do the work, and those who make sure they're seen doing the work.

Dialogue and narration can be so clunky in game trailers, but damn, the soundtrack choice lately. Depeche Mode, The Cranberries and Prodigy all popped up during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

How it started vs how it's going

030

Noelle Adams @pfangirl.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

An example being a very sus marketing art being released for the upcoming tomb raider. Why did no one - one would think in multiple stages of QA - pick up the fact there were 4 guns, or Escher backpack straps?

Noelle Adams @pfangirl.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

"it appears to erode your abilities even if you're aware of that risk going in." This is a huge one for me. It really seems to make people lazy, and, in turn, blind to huge errors reaching the audience

Noelle Adams @pfangirl.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

This is within the same 11-day period next year: 12 Feb - Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis 16 Feb - God of War Laufey 23 Feb - Fable Even ruling out the last one, this looks like troubling cannibalisation of the same audience. Most people will be choosing only 1 at the time

Game costume design peaked with the Chic Set from Clair Obscur. Sciel and Lune’s matching evening dresses especially. The perfect balance of gorgeous, crazy sexy and elegant.

When @stjepansejic.bsky.social gets to officially draw Lara Croft, AND he makes her so visibly strong. (Also, if you squint hard enough, you can pretend this is a Sunstone crossover)

You know what they say? No man who loves cats is ever truly bad. We’ve spent the last week immersed in the Golden Age of Piracy, sailing 18th Century Caribbean waters in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Look out for our review on 8 July, with the game out globally on 9 July.

Last day of Int. Pride Month, and I'm a big believer in looking back and celebrating LGBT+ representation across history. Hidden or not, we’ve always been around. So for my first proper tattoo I got a signature coded pasage from the diaries of Anne Lister, AKA Gentleman Jack.

That Supergirl love goes back a long time. This 80s kid still has parts of the Helen Slater movie burned into her brain.

No way the movie will go even half as hard as this... There are those times you read a comic and you have a good time with the characters in their world. And then there are the times you realise you're experiencing art on every level. This is the latter. Genuinely definitive.

Ftr, earlier in the game you eavesdrop on a South African complaining that people won't accept crypto in an Mauritanian black market. Also on brand.

Thought it would be fun to unbox my Tomb Raider statue in costume, and that meant slapping together a loose Unified Timeline look. I haven't done Classic-leaning Lara Croft in years because as I've gotten older those shorts are really intimidating! But I think I did okay.
