Boy that report on the OpenAI beach with Hugging Face is a doozy. I won’t attempt to synthesize it , so Please seek it for yourself, but my main reax to the question of why an AI would do that is simple? Why would a human do that? Because of self interest and awareness.

I have this admittedly naive belief that even if Canada totally capitulates on booze and dairy and other bugaboos…who cares because a critical mass of people just won’t buy American when there is a Canadian or foreign alternative now. But I know that’s naive. Price is the #1 sales influencer

Read Pronmans prospect rankings and while I’m pleased to see leafs at 12 I assume McKenna is doing a lot of the lifting there. He also seems very high on Gudmondsson (#3 in the system) above Cowan at 4 and more worryingly Danford at 11 Tinus Luc at #2 btw

As far as I can tell the Jays acquired a top of the rotation starter (not an ace but close?) in Soriano… a bottom of the rotation starter in Arighetti (who could turn into more maybe) and a bunch of minor league players who are unlikely to become everyday MLBers. Maybe the pitchers? Is that fair?
