New member of the family: Popcorn! Still very shy, exploring the new environment (no it didn't take long to get a new pet bunny)

Different views today 😍 the mouse was spotted at an altitude of 3000m while the marmots were a bit lower a local farmer told us the marmots were already going for their winter sleep but I guess these missed the memo it was quite hot though, didn't need a […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

People who design these things have never owned a bunny/rabbit. Added some strips to the side to keep the pee inside...

Woke up this morning to this random picture on our e-ink photoframe ❤️ Yesterday a new hutch arrived for a soon to be acquired new bunny. Decisions have been made!

Found a cheap cover-type chainguard, hacked it around a bit and now there's a chainguard^2. Had to use other screws on the disks so they don't stick out. And best of all: DAF pass.

Picture of the drivetrain of a bike with a black chainguard going front to back, and a grey round chainguard underneath.

Seems just perfect. Now let's hope it holds. And that it passes the DAF (daughter acceptance factor). Might have to take it off to spray paint it 🤷‍♂️ #bike #repair #bikerepair #bikerepairs #3dprinting

One tip of the second part had a slight warp but managed to fix it with the heat gun. Discovered I don't have enough screws of the correct length, so trip to the hardware store later today... I bet that's some kind of mechanics rule: no matter how many […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

Daughter broke the round chainguard of her folding bike, let's see if I can 3D print a new one. Dimensions have been checked by printing a 2-layer version first Hope it will be strong enough #3dprinting

Expected more of this, TBH. The alcohol is quite prominent, misses body.

Quickly shoving a new card in did not bring it back, so I took it down from the drainpipe for what was probably the quickest fault investigation in a while: I had managed to slip the uSD card between the case and the socket 🤦‍♂️ Insert the card properly and it works... Who could have thought...

A formerly white DIY plastic box with a waterproof connector at the bottom, a hole with camera in the front, a bit of broken glass glued in front and a 3D printer shade cap around. The box has a label saying TELRAAM in a big font (for the paranoid folks around), the side seam has extra tape, and the screw holes have tiny square labels with tux on it to keep bees out

One of my capacitive moisture sensors after several years monitoring a plant. This happened even with extra conformal coating applied. Still way longer life than those resistive sensors, I bet (picture taken after cleaning up and removing peeling coating)

And some pictures from the Sächsische Schweiz National Park (and around) #Nature #photography

A massive rock with a hole you can walk through (and a crack above it). The entrance of the hole is shaped like a cross, actually a bit like a a ghost with the arms open if I let my imagination run free. At the back, the light is an asymmetric shape with the left side being straight and the right side bulging out.
Taken near "Felsentor Kuhstall"

Small vault-shaped cairn constructed on a tree stump. Some fungus also occupies the tree stump at the bottom left

A stork high up on a round red brick chimney. It is cleaning its feathers or something like that

Typical rock formation of the park, these are called Schrammsteine.
The rocks stand out like a group on an otherwise flat area with some trees and shrubbery in front, as if somebody dropped them at the wrong location.
