She seems to be fully on board now:
Bluesky comment by Alejandra Caraballo which reads "I mean, 2 years ago these models couldn't count the number of r's in strawberry and now they've almost solved the reimann hypothesis and made fields medal worthy advancements. Even Terence Tao is calling for a slowdown. What will they be able to do in 2 more years?"

Really fucked up how she twists this situation around to be about anti-white racism. That woman's brain has been fully marinated and cooked. Garbage person.
"'I feel guilty," Jack said.

'I hate to say it, but there's a lot of animosity against, just, white people,' Diana said. 'I'm sorry.'

'That's not our belief, Diana,' Renee said.

petrisaurus.bsky.social @petrisaurus.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
"'That's why I think this is a statement--some kind of statement,' Diana continued.

'It's not a statement,' Renee said.

'It is. Look how it's blowing out,' Diana said, referring to all the news and the vitriol toward the Trump administration.

'No,' Renee said.

But Diana, who had spent years working as a nurse in Ohio prisons, continued. She said her experience had taught her to think 'outside the box,' and she offered a theory that none of the investigating authorities had suggested. She believed that what happened could have been more than a suicide, that Pierre could have been 'almost like a suicide bomber,' attempting to send a political message. She said she believed that this could start happening more often.

'I've seen stuff on the internet too--like, someone said, 'You should be thinking of the truck driver too,' and someone commented, 'Oh, fuck that truck driver,' Diana said."

Note: Pierre spoke English.
"He [Jack, the trucker] reviewed what he knew about the Haitians in Springfield, which had mostly come from his mother, via a friend of hers who lived there, and had little good to say; Jack had seen a video she'd circulated purporting to show Haitians eating cats and dogs. Diana had called her up after everything happened, and her friend had sworn that Pierre had waited on her at Texas Roadhouse the weekend before. The friend said she recognized him from the photos. She told Diana that she and her husband had ordered two salads, and when the waiter she assumed was Pierre brought only one salad, she told him that they'd ordered two; she said that he had smiled and said something in a language she did not understand. Diana still wondered about what he'd said. She told Jack that she was worried about him, that the Haitians in Springfield were angry. That everybody in the country seemed to be angry, including her.

'My son could have died,' she said now. 'A whole bunch of lives could have been taken. And that's another thing--'

'No,' Renee [Jack's wife] said, attempting to preempt what she knew was coming."

The trucker's mom is incredibly racist and also just... baffling. I need to remember that a lot of people are going through life with no actual inner beliefs. It's just "things that help my family are good, things that hurt my family are bad" and absolutely zero processing beyond that. More below.
"I wish I would have known him, because I would have taken him in," Diana [the trucker's mom] said at one point. "I got a spare room." (Note: Pierre Damas Bel was not homeless or housing insecure)

Bluesky thread showing a user responding to Monica's brag about having emailed a Third Way employee "what the fuck, Lenae". User Dread Meadow responds "You rock. Never let it be said that individuals can't make a difference." Monica responds "Oh I assume if my email was what made the difference the change would have happened last May, but if allI have is to socially shame women who I have been to baby showers with, I'll use the hammer I have."A search for "gay" on Monica's profile. There are only 2 results, and the relevant one is 1h ago and reads "When I was in law school I got a job offer *to work on gay shit* from Third Way but I also got a job offer from the Obama White House, so I did not end up working at Third Way."

Hey y'all did you know that "queer issues" used to mean things like tax benes for rich white gays? It's so weird how Third Way supported that but not us filthy poor transes! (Until now) In case you thought that was a joke: nope, she literally goes to parties with them & thinks they're "good eggs" 🙃
Bluesky post by user @monicacarmean.bsky.social which reads "Okay so actually Third Way used to be *really good* on queer stuff when queer stuff was letting rich white people claim marriage tax benefits! I was sad the that they lost that thread when it came to trans kids and I'm really glad they've come back around. Lanae was a good egg, glad she's back."

Reply by @petrisaurus.bsky.social reads "'When queer stuff was letting rich white people claim marriage tax benefits' sounds like a joke - is that a joke? If it's not, just fyi: the people for whom marriage tax benefits was the biggest issue often identify as "gay" or "LGBT" rather than queer, & they are still in good with centrists."Response by @monicacarmean reads "I actually don't need yourFYI on what counts as queer, thanks!"

Response from @petrisaurus reads "If you think tax benes for rich white people was the prev most important issue for queers, think a centrist group is full of 'good eggs' who were just a little mistaken about us trannies, & never said 'queer' on bsky before this, then you def do!

But don't worry. I'll mute & shut my queer mouth."

"Holtorf told ProPublica he is cooperating with the investigation. 'Of course, I want to get to the bottom of it. But almost assuredly it will come out that it was not the peptides.'

He said he became convinced the peptides weren’t the cause of the severe reactions after plugging everything he knows about the incident into an artificial intelligence app, which he said gave him a 57-page report that 'basically says that it is impossible it was the peptides.' He refused to comment on what the report attributed the illnesses to."

God I love doing alt text for comics. Poor Moose! 😂 Alt text version:
Five panel comic.

First panel: Batman strides down a corridor towards the viewer saying "tell your boss he's got COMPANY, Moose." Moose - a tall muscular man with pale skin, an orange pompadour, a bright red short-sleeved shirt with a popped collar, gold bangles on his left wrist, and flowy yellow pants tucked into blue boots - replies "he ain't seein' NO ONE, Batman--'specially YOU. An' I got orders t'keep it that way."

Second panel: Batman stands looking up at Moose, both viewed from the side. Moose stands imposingly, a full head taller and much more muscular than Batman; we can now see that he's holding a gun in his right hand (pointed at the ceiling, not at Batman) and that he is wearing a yellow fanny pack and has a black star on white background detail at the top of his boots. Batman's cape completely covers him, flaring outward at the bottom. Batman points down toward Moose's shoes and responds "I SEE." Then he says "Moose, your shoelace is untied." Moose proudly declares "NO, it ain't. That worked LAST time..."

Third panel: Moose continues "...but not NOW. I'm too SMART for ya." The image is zoomed in on Moose's boots, showing that they have gold zippers with ring pulls instead of shoelaces.

Fourth panel: Batman sighs and says "I suppose you're right." A second later he says "Moose, MY shoelace is untied." He points down at his own shoes. Moose, who we can now see is wearing a large gold medallion and gold earrings, follows Batman's gaze downward and replies "IS it? Lemme--"

Fifth panel: Before Moose can finish the word "--see?", Batman takes advantage of the opportunity to sock him with a powerful punch, sending Moose's gun flying and knocking his head backwards out of the frame with a heavy WHUD sound. Batman's face is shadowed, which only highlights his huge shit-eating grin.

Give them hell and live the moment!!" followed by the American flag, flexed bicep, and cowboy hat emoji. He has attached a picture of himself giving a sieg heil Nazi salute.

Two panel comic.
First panel shows two women in bed together, one with brown skin on the right and one with lighter tan skin on the left, both with shoulder length black hair. The woman on the right has her arm out touching the other woman's shoulder. Right woman says "I'm sorry, Ellie. I have to get up early tomorrow." Left woman responds "Well then, maybe we could just kiss a little..." and right woman says "...yah, okay."
Second panel shows the two women later that night with an absolutely destroyed bed after some clearly wild sex. Left woman is face down wearing red and black lingerie and a hot pink strap-on with her black platform boots sticking up in the air. Right woman is nude with a blanket covering her from nipple to ankle. She looks exhausted and disheveled with messy hair, multiple hickies on her chest, and a grayish trail of something that might be saliva running from the corner of her mouth down her chest and onto her breast. The headboard of the bed is cracked and split apart with a knife stabbed into it; one of the bedposts is leaning at an angle with handcuffs hanging off it, and the other is on fire. There are bloodstains and clear liquid running down the wall, and a strip of toilet paper is hanging down from the ceiling on one side. The lamp on one side table is broken and the other side table holds 3 small open bottles with hearts on them. There are many items on the bed with the two women, including a rubber ducky nearly the same size as the left woman, an open bottle of clear liquid, a flogger, a Rubik's cube, a megaphone, a spatula, a purple vibrator, a black dildo sitting on some crumpled paper, a small flat black box, a fried egg with an unbroken yolk, and many clumps of an unidentifiable light pink substance spread over everything.

"Over the weekend, my contract with CBS news expired, drawing to a close nearly twenty years with the network, including more than a decade at 60 Minutes.

Following an intense editorial dispute over our CECOT story, repeated attempts by my representation to establish a path forward were met with absolute silence from network executives. The message could not be clearer: my time at 60 Minutes is apparently over.

In the coming days, network leadership may attempt to hide behind corporate euphemisms like 'modernization' and 'restructuring' to explain away my departure. Don't be misled. This was not a routine corporate transition; it was a deliberate choice to penalize a journalist for refusing to sanitize factually accurate reporting, and it sends a chilling message to the entire newsroom.

Fearless, independent reporting has always been the defining standard at 60 Minutes. Today, CBS management is abandoning that mission, choosing access journalism over accountability and protecting power rather than scrutinizing it.

The wall between editorial independence and corporate interest at CBS is being methodically torn down. Journalists willing to challenge authority are being pushed aside in favor of those who will not. If this continues, the result will be a broadcast that looks like 60 Minutes but lacks the courage and character to produce journalism that matters.

To my colleagues, who became family - working beside you has been the privilege of a lifetime. You are second to none. I've learned exactly what it costs to hold the line right now. Hold it anyway. Viewers and the people who trust us with their stories deserve nothing less."

WHY IS TCW LIKE THIS OH MY GOD 😑 some real "I don't see color" bullshit. Alt text version here
Excerpt from article at The Atlantic by Thomas Chatterton Williams:
"American audiences risk squandering that gift by obsessively policing the boundaries of racial identity. This pathology spans the ideological divide. Right-wing identitarians are quick to condemn progressive hysteria about racial representation and cultural appropriation. Now they're aping the flawed thinking they claim to despise.

The Nolan controversy seems to have inspired particular fervor because of The Odyssey's exalted place in the Western canon. Some progressives dismiss the canon as a collection of dead white men--yet another result of hyper-racialized thinking. By contrast, many on the right have tended to express that it speaks to the universal human condition, regardless of race. The canon's champions have seen clearly how works like The Odyssey reveal the perverted logic of racial-line drawing. Today, they would do well to heed their own wisdom."

Tampopo continuing to be one of the most influential movies of all time
Still of the omurice cooking scene from the 1985 movie Tampopo, with a young boy looking down at the plate of fresh omurice presented to him by a homeless chef who has broken into a commercial kitchen to prepare the meal.

And then I can put those ding-dongs ON A LIST." The post has been liked 5,743 times and reposted 30 times with 111 comments.

Y'all. "WORKING CLASS COPS". 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 And that came just after the transphobia moment where he got offended that someone used an inclusive term. Just a real poop knife of a human.
Bluesky post by user davecdnb.bsky.social which reads "All the vitriol on here is being directed toward the working class cops and court workers who came to their jobs and the most unbelievable thing occurred and many of them appeared to help in this emergency [red light siren emoji] and yet all the absolute losers on this website just can't help themselves." This guy made the Floyd "joke":
Picture of racist comedian Tony Hinchcliffe from the shoulders up. He is a white man with blue eyes, brown hair, and a goatee.
