A picture of the Free Press House (Casa Presei Libere) in Bucharest, Romania, seen from the shores of the Herăstrău Lake. In the foreground there's also the famous "H Brewery", which is a massive hall where concerts are also held. Some willows are hanging above the lake. In the background, all sorts of trees are also present. Everything is reflected, slightly blurry, on the lake surface. It's a cloudy weather, as the photo was also taken early evening, at sunset. This is an old photo from 6 years ago, when the lake was filled with water. This summer, the lake was emptied for the most part in order to do some urgent consolidation work on the shores of it, as well as extend the surrounding alley. If any modifications are made, this will serve as a time capsule on how many generations knew the lake, the park and the surroundings captured in this photo.

Former synthetic diamonds factory. The building was abandoned a while ago and stopped producing anything. More than likely, it has been demolished already to make room for a new residential development. It was a whte&blue painted brutalist building with a zigzag pattern, with a bigger part of it covered in concrete. There are two rows of windows (adjacent to the last 2 floors) that are following the same zigzag pattern. On the 2nd window in the lower floor, a light stays hanged. At the moment I took the picture, it was a mostly clear sky with scattered clouds.

An unedited photo of a statue of a woman dressed in traditional Romanian clothes. Her head is tilted to the right, as with her right hand is holding a pitcher on her left shoulder. The statue is on top of a water fountain (not present in the pic) called Modura, dedicated to the girl that gave water to King Carol the 2nd after the plane he was in suffered a forced landing near the Vadul Crișului village, in 1930. The King was flying from Munich to Bucharest, via Wien, when the plane started to lose altitude due to loss of fuel. After the event, the girl was brought to Bucharest and was part of the Royal suite, with her face also appearing on some banknotes and one coin. The current statue is a 2005 reconstruction of the original monument, as the original was lost for many years after the communists decided to build a statue of Stalin in that place.
