The PETRARCH team, perhaps a little tired at the end of the last day: Emmeline Gray, Sophie Westacott, Michael Henehan, Markus Adloff, Bernát Heszler, and Gowtham Sekar.
Our team at the end of the last day, as we begin to take down the gazebo. Six people face the camera looking tired but happy. Three are holding 3D prints of microfossils. Above their heads is a bunch of bunting with microfossil prints and origami microfossils. A microscope with small screen and a table with linoprinting materials is in the background. Evening light filters into the gazebo.

Many thanks to the Paleontological Society for their support! And to the organisers of Green Man Festival, and of course to the festival-goers for their pizazz in decorating our tent with microfossil-printed bunting ✨ @greenmanfest.bsky.social @paleosoc.bsky.social
PETRARCH postdoc Markus - a man wearing a blue baseball cap and a colourful shirt - cheers on a small child in a tie dye tshirt, bucket hat and yellow rain boots as they lift the lino stamp off of a sheet of paper see the swirly print they have made. They are printing on a table full of other stamps and linoprinting materials, inside a gazebo with light coming through a transparent plastic window, a poster and some blue and green lino-stamped bunting in the background, and some paper with more lino prints pegged to lines in front of the window. The lino prints are of various shapes - some like popcorn, some swirly, some like horned helmets - that are all types of microfossils. Two hands hold up a cream coloured fabric pencil case with a swirly purple foraminifera lino-printed onto it.

PETRARCH went to Green Man Festival this weekend, an act of outreach love that has been over a year in the making. A true team effort that brought together mud washing and lino printing, new Cretaceous CO2 data and bunting, origami and microscopy… and the result was emergent and marvellous

One more day to apply to the 2nd PhD project within the PETRARCH project! Come work within a vibrant team at University of Bristol Earth Sciences, figuring out how LIP eruptions actually triggered OAEs and what role the biological pump might have played. petrarch.blogs.bristol.ac.uk/join-us/
