Green records country songs so that they can serve as filler material for his comedy shows. I think macafee wrote a bunch of songs about now so that when he does his 1-man show (with backing band!) after all bridges have burned, he’ll have a built in soundtrack, complete with filler material.

In trying to figure out why macafee recorded an album, I think looking at Tom Green’s current modus operandi is clearer. Green is credited with doing “what comes next” - jackass, but he also pioneered Joe Rogan - style podcasting.

These aren’t new ideas. I have a “read about me” book from the late 1970s. I‘m not opposed. As a child I knew it wasn’t a “real” book. But it fostered a love of reading. I got my daughter’s the same 10 years ago. They recognized the difference as well. they were read, that led to better books

I enjoyed it. All of my action movie friends complained that you never saw “hulk” until it was too late. I disagreed. dr. banner is the interesting character here. But just like dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, people want more Hyde rather than less.

I was completely surprised to hear a deep dive into the great lakes, especially Lake Huron. i live way up north, and have visited that area. All the towns you mentioned are wealthy vacation spots. it’s the Ontario version of Vail or Montauk. Just a few hours from downtown Toronto.

Why is there an assumption that 70+ shots is the correct number?! Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) is one shot, but 3 viruses. the math shouldn’t be trusted in his argument. There is no legitimacy, even at the level of counting, much less scientific need.

Completely agree. Also think for the lebron lakers and the giannis bucks, they’d already won a title. This was just another accolade. Hopefully the Knicks and spurs use this as a stepping stone for the postseasob because I like the NBA Cup and the tension it brings to up and coming teams.

But the runner-up teams (Pacers and OkC) both used it to springboard themselves. It gave 2 up and coming teams valuable “playoff” experience that parlayed into postseason success. I‘m expecting the same from the spurs.
